Day 1 Tokyo

Tokyo is located on the eastern side of the main island Honshu, and is the capital of Japan. The name "Tokyo" literally means eastern capital. It is the seat of the Japanese government, the Imperial Palace, and the home of the Japanese Imperial Family. The twenty-three special wards of Tokyo, have a total population of over 8 million people, with 35 million in the greater Tokyo area. The city has many museums and theatres, important temples, parks and restaurants. It is one of the world's leading cities - and one of the most expensive.

Upon arrival at Narita airport make your way to the Airport Limousine counter. There are 2 ticket counters in Terminal 2 and 5 ticket counters in Terminal 1. Signage is well posted and all staff speak fluent English. The cost of a one way ticket is 300 Yen, or roughly $30-$40 USD. Bus stop, departure time and your destination are printed on your boarding ticket. Buses leave every half an hour or so, depending on your downtown hotel, and provide a door to door service. Travel time can run anywhere from 1.5 - 3 hours, depending on traffic. COST IS NOT INCLUDED.

The Keio Plaza Hotel is situated in the heart of Tokyo, in walking distance of numerous restaurants, bakeries, and shops. Visitors revel in the amenities offered in each other 1440 rooms. Whether looking for a quick eat or a fancy sit down experience, guests will have no problem finding a meal at the Keio. Choose from a huge variety of restaurants, each possessing its own specialty.
