Day 1 Tokyo

Tokyo is located on the eastern side of the main island Honshu, and is the capital of Japan. The name "Tokyo" literally means eastern capital. It is the seat of the Japanese government, the Imperial Palace, and the home of the Japanese Imperial Family. The twenty-three special wards of Tokyo, have a total population of over 8 million people, with 35 million in the greater Tokyo area. The city has many museums and theatres, important temples, parks and restaurants. It is one of the world's leading cities - and one of the most expensive.

Day 3 Tokyo

Stroll through selected neighborhoods that showcase Tokyo's finest and most interesting architecture. Your private guide will explain the backgrounds and history of each building along with other interesting highlights of the area.

You will be provided with a local guide and vehicle to help you explore the city and experience some of the more unique aspects of Japanese culture.

Hifumi-an is an elite experience for the Japanese food-lover. A reservation-only "Kaiseki" or traditional Japanese-style restaurant, Hifumi-an boasts a relaxing space with an atmosphere of 1920's. It is famous for preparing delectable and visually stunning cuisine. You will receive an explanation of all ingredients and cooking methods, the history and background story behind everything to do with traditional Japanese cuisine. If you are a foodie, this experience is an absolute MUST!

Trip Terms & Conditions

  • Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price, minimum $250). The balance is due 90 days prior to departure. We accept payment via credit card, certified check, wire transfer or money order.
  • Tour quotes do not include airfare to/from the trip start point unless noted on the itinerary
  • Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
  • Availability cannot be guaranteed until booked. We will exercise best efforts to book hotels per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of tour date we may be forced to offer substitutes.
  • Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $350 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of deposit. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to 100% of program price.

  • Living Standards and practices at destination may differ from those in North America with respect to provisions of utilities, services and accommodation.
