Day 1
Can Tho Can Tho is regarded as the "Western capital", with an estimated population of 1,121,000, is the biggest city in the Mekong Delta. The city is located on the south bank of the Hau River, the bigger branch of the Mekong River. It is 169 km from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s largest city. Can Tho is famous because of its floating markets, Cai Rang, Phung Hiep, where people sell and buy things on the river, its bird garden, Ninh Kieu port and others. Guests can enjoy local fruit specialties such as pomelo, longan, jackfruit, mango and durian. You will be picked up by private car and English speaking Driver and head for Can Tho today. A stop will be made in Cai Be where you can visit the colourful floating market. Travel along the Mekong canals to Dong Ho Hiep island, located between Ving Long and Cai Be. Discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical rural life of the Mekong Delta. After lunch in a local restaurant (is in the price incl), enjoy a stroll along the narrow canals before your transfer to Can Tho. Day 2
Chau Doc Chau Doc is a district and town in An Giang province, bordering Cambodia, in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. The town is located by the Hâu River (a branch of the Mekong River flowing through Vietnamese territory) and Vinh Te canal. Chau Doc is situated 250 km west of Ho Chí Minh City. The site of Chau Doc was long in history a territory of the Kingdom of Funan. The territory became Vietnam’s about 300 years ago. The town is near the picturesque Mount Sam. local economy is based on basa catfish export and on tourism. The town is a busy trading center due to its border position with Cambodia. You will be picked up by private car and English speaking Driver for a full day tour today. Visit Can Tho Cultural Museum, the Chinese Pagoda, the Cambodian Pagoda, the Vong Cung historical road, which was the “war border” before national reunification, and the Cao Dai Holy Temple. Stop at an orchard to relax and enjoy some of the local fruits. After Lunch, visit the 135 - year Antique House and Binh Thuy Temple. You will be picked up from your Can Tho hotel and taken by private car to Chau Doc with an English speaking guide and driver. Ho Chi Minh City Morning, transfer to visit Sam mountain, Lady Xu Temple, Thoai Ngoc Hau Temple, floating fish farm and boat trip to Cham Pa village to discover the fascinating life on the Mekong River. (Lunch not included) Transfer from Chau Doc to Ho Chi Minh City with private car with English speaking guide and driver. Depart from Ho Chi Minh City International airport - end of itinerary.
