You may decide you just want to kick back and take advantage of the beautiful beach located on your doorstep, but if you feel like doing any land based tours during your stay, consider a guided day trip to the magical city of Chichen Itza -the most important Mayan Ceremonial Center. This World Heritage Site is considered by archaeologists as one of the most advanced civilizations. For a fun day out, consider a visit to the only ecological park in the world with underground rivers, where you will be able to snorkel, enjoy beautiful beaches, watch exotic fauna and at sunset, an authentic Mayan show with mariachi band. Enjoy any number of water based tours during your stay in Cancun. Options include: a day trip to Tulum - an ancient Mayan walled city located on a cliff facing the ocean and then enjoy some snorkeling amongst schools of colorful fish in Xel Ha. Another option is to spend the day sailing on a Catamaran. Just imagine enjoying a beautiful day sailing the crystal Caribbean Sea and discovering a new world under the water as you go snorkeling. If you feel like exploring the stunningly beautiful reefs off Cozumel, consider a full day of snorkeling taking in two different reefs. Cozumel is the pride and joy of Caribbean Mexico's snorkeling and diving communities. Another option is to have fun and get wet by driving your own speed boat on a guided tour through the lagoon and mangrove channels.
