Day 1
Tortola Tortola, the largest of the British Virgin Islands, is the most developed, however, it remains charmingly reminiscent of the West Indies' past: a quiet, colonial atmosphere. Powdery white-sand beaches, lush green mountains, and a sheltered yacht-filled harbor characterize the island of Tortola, where the past of the West Indies meets the present of the BVI. Enjoy a private transfer from the airport on St Thomas Island to your point of embarkation for your cruise in Nanny Cay on Tortola Island. You are welcome to board your yacht from 5pm on your arrival day. Your captain and chef/hostess will warmly welcome you on board and this evening you will be sure to enjoy meeting with your fellow passengers and have some cocktails while watching your first Caribbean sunset followed by a delicious dinner prepared by the yacht's chef. The Lagoon 440 Sailing catamaran features three guest cabins, each with private ensuite bathrooms. Each cabin features a queen size berth with individual reading lamps, hanging closet, drawers, cupboards and bathroom vanity providing plenty of privacy, comfort and storage space. The bathroom features a toilet, vanity, sink, medicine cabinet and shower/faucet. The charter layout features four cabins and four heads (one is taken up by crew and three are for guests). Internet is limited to certain locations and not available in all destinations. The catamaran is very stable and comfortable. All sailing is done during the day and anchored at night in protected coves and bays to assure a restful night's sleep. Overnight at Lagoon 440 sailing catamaran. |

Day 2
Tortola The luxury Lagoon 440 represents the leading edge of catamaran design with decks unencumbered by sail tie-backs. The vessel was voted Charter Boat of the Year by cruising World Magazine 2005, and features headroom of 6'9'' throughout, an 8 person dining space in the rear cockpit, forward trampolines, forward bench seating, deck shower and air conditioning throughout. The open deckside allows for plenty of room to move around and enjoy the spectacular scenery. Inside, the air conditioned salon features large 360 degree windows, allowing for picture postcard views. All cruise departures include a captain and a chef/hostess. The vessel has air-conditioning in the main salon as well as having individual controls for each cabin. When at anchor, a generator which is located beneath the seat in the rear cockpit supplies the necessary energy to run the AC. For those who prefer the natural breeze, each cabin offers a cabin deck hatch and port hole as well as a top hatch in the bath which allows air to flow throughout this area. The Caves on Norman Island, a short sail across the sheltered Sir Frances Drake Channel, brings you to your first experience of the beauty and splendor of the British Virgin Islands, both above and below the surface. Enjoy snorkeling in what seems like an aquarium teaming with thousands of the most colorful fish. Your crew will explain the history of these caves and the treasure troves that have been found! A five minute motor around the headland brings you into "The Bight" on Norman Island, home of the famous "William Thornton", a floating bar and restaurant known to many as the "Willy T". All (7) breakfasts, (7) lunches and 5 dinners are included in your all inclusive sailing package. This includes gourmet meals prepared by a professionally trained chef. The mouthwatering menu selections are certain to satisfy even the most discerning of palates. While on board you will enjoy fantastic appetisers, unique deserts and wonderful food all round. There is a well stocked bar on board which operates like an open bar. Overnight at Lagoon 440 sailing catamaran. |

Day 3
Tortola After a cup of freshly brewed coffee, a wonderful breakfast and a plunge off the back deck, the day's activity begins with a sail in protected, calm waters along the coast of Peter Island, past Dead Chest Atoll and into Salt Island. Salt Island is the graveyard for the R.M.S Rhone which sunk off its Eastern point with all on board in 1896. This is one of the most famous wrecks in the world for scuba divers to explore. For those who are qualified, a Dive Master will accompany you for this unforgettable experience. For Non-divers, snorkel over the stern section or take a walk around the shoreline in search of buried treasure. Next, enjoy the sail to The Baths at Virgin Gorda. Walk through the batholitic granite caves and formations to Devils Bay where your crew will meet you with a refreshing, packed cooler and your snorkel gear. Enjoy lunch back on the boat before an hour's sail up the spectacular coast of Virgin Gorda and The Bitter End Yacht Club. Go ashore after dinner and take in a typical BVI evening with your favorite Rum Punch and Steel Drum Band. All on board activities such as sea kayaking, snorkeling gear and ocean fishing are included in your trip, so all you have to do is decide what you'd like to do each day. If you have a diving certificate, you can explore some of the Caribbean's best dive sites for a modest additional fee, with the crew providing all of the necessary equipment. Of course, if your idea of the perfect day is lounging on a deserted beach, you will be provided with towels and refreshments to assure your comfort. Overnight at Lagoon 440 sailing catamaran. |

Day 4
Tortola Today we hoist all the sails and run out our fishing lines for a two hour cruise to the flat coral-sand island of Anegada with its endless white beaches. Feel the "talcum powder" under your feet while you stroll along the deserted beach. The only coral island in the volcanic BVI chain, Anegada is definitely unique. Measuring 11 miles by three, its highest point is just 28 feet above sea level. The island is surrounded by Horseshoe Reef, the third largest continuous reef in the Eastern Caribbean at 39 miles long, containing both a patch reef and barrier reef. Bubbling up from the coral bed, clear springs support a variety of wildlife. Loblolly, seagrape, frangipani and the turpentine tree flourish here, along with feathery sea lavender and wild orchids. Saltwater ponds, mudflats and mangrove swamps are home to an array of exotic birds, including sandpipers, ospreys, terns, kaloo birds, blue herons and frigate birds. In the ponds near Nutmeg Point, flocks of flamingos gather. Tonight is your first night dining ashore. The prolific lobster population of this Island ensures a lobster meal second to none. Choose your lobster and watch it sizzle on the beach BBQ in front of the Anegada Reef Hotel or select a meal from the specials of the evening. Overnight at Lagoon 440 sailing catamaran. |
