Day 1
Arenal Arenal contains an active volcano, and also the only dwarf cloudforest inCosta Rica. The crater of the volcano is 1.5km (1mi.) wide and contains a hot-water lake that changes color from turquoise to green to gray. It is also a whitewater rafting center with routes on the Rio Toro and Rio Sarapiqui. Upon arrival you will be met by our local representative who will help you locate your vehicle. Meet your driver for a private transfer to Arenal. With a spectacular view of the Arenal Volcano, natural hot and cold springs, four unique dining experiences, and an impressive full service Spa, The Springs Resort and Spa at Arenal promises to overwhelm you in every aspect of quality, service and design. The resort perches one thousand feet above the Arenal Valley on a mountain ridge just six kilometers north of the active volcano. Day 2
Arenal You will be picked up at your hotel and driven to the Hanging Bridges in Arenal for your private guided tour. You will have plenty of contact with nature during this tour (exotic birds, plants, howler monkeys). The trails have been designed for the transit of all types of people and covers 3100 meters of length located inside the mountainous zone. The trails are constructed with concrete bricks which offer tourists a safe passage. As a plus the security railings are always present on the passages where the floor presents irregularity. Morning or Afternoon Departure, Duration 3.5 Hours (approximately) You will be picked up at your hotel and driven to the entrance of the micro rainforest near the Arenal Volcano. Enjoy a leisurely 1.5 hour hike through the rainforest while your English speaking guide offers the history of the Arenal Volcano. This park is located at the base of the Arenal Volcano and is filled with wildlife including monkeys, toucans, coati and a large variety of bird species. Observe lava flow at the end of the tour (lava and weather permitting). Return to the hotel in the evening. Duration: 3.5 Hours (Approximately) Pick up is usually at 3:45PM. Day 3
Monteverde Straddling the Continental Divide at 1440 meters (4662 ft), the Santa Elena and Monteverde Cloud Forest area offers one of the most interesting place to visit in Costa Rica. In the rain forest are more than 100 species of mammals including 5 species of cats, over 400 species of birds including 30 kinds of hummingbirds, tens of thousands of insect species (over 5000 species of moths) and 2,500 species of plants (420 kinds of orchids). The area is acclaimed as one of the most outstanding wildlife refuges in the New World Tropics. Meet your driver for a private transfer to Lake Arenal. Board a motor boat and cross the lake while observing scenic views of the Arenal Volcano (45 mins). Private vehicle transfer to your hotel in Monteverde. Located near the Cerro Plano area between Santa Elena and the Monteverde Reserve, the Hidden Valley trail offers the ideal forest and elevation to view the incredible wildlife of the tropics. For those who wish to observe wonders hidden in the forest after dark, guided night hikes are offered. The tour begins just before nightfall, allowing you to see a wide variety of nocturnal creatures. After enjoying the beautiful sunset you will be amazed at how the forest seems to awaken during the transition into evening. The naturalist guide will explain many of the unique features of the forest and creatures that inhabit it while navigating the trails. The tour ends at 7:30 P.M. Includes roundtrip transportation to/from hotel. Hotel el Establo (4*) offers the best views of Monteverde, Costa Rica, with its location next to the Monteverde Reserve and the Monteverde Cloud Forest. The 155 rooms are clean and offer wall to wall carpeting, as well as private bathrooms. The hotel is a large property, with lots of space to roam. Take advantage of some dining in private at either of the hotel's two restaurants, which serve traditional dishes in both a la carte and buffet. Day 4
Monteverde You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the Monteverde Cloud forest. Explore the enchanted Monteverde Cloud forest with a set of expert eyes during this privately guided walk. Explore different trails in search of birds and mammals and discuss the amazing diversity of plants. Half day excursion (4 hrs). You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the tour starting point. Extremo canopy has one of the most beautiful views of the area all from a bird’s eye view flying through the treetops of the Monteverde Cloud Forest . You will get your adrenaline pumping when doing the big tarzan swing, the giant rappel, and feeling fantastic distance between each one of the cables that stretch across the canopy up to 2550 feet long and 450 feet high. Day 5
Manuel Antonio Well-kept and well-guarded,ManuelAntonioNational Parkfeatures 5 kinds of forest, some with characteristic rain forest vegetation. Orchids and ferns, jaguars, ocelots and the Baird tapir may be seen here. There are trails through the park and many lookouts. Horseback riding and white-water activities are also available. Day 6
Manuel Antonio You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the Manuel Antonio National Park for a private, guided tour. This scenic park attracts over 160,000 people each year to its wide beaches with troops of monkeys that frequent the area. The park consists of mangrove swamps, primary rainforests and marshy woodlands and is bordered by the clear waters of the Pacific Ocean. It is a haven for over 100 mammal species including the highly endangered squirrel monkey, or mono titi. Morning/Afternoon Departures; Duration 3 Hours (approximately) When the tour is complete you will return to your hotel after the tour. Overnight at Arenas del Mar. |

Trip Terms & Conditions
- Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price, minimum $250). The balance is due 90 days prior to departure. We accept payment via credit card, certified check, wire transfer or money order.
- Tour quotes do not include airfare to/from the trip start point unless noted on the itinerary
- Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
- Availability cannot be guaranteed until booked. We will exercise best efforts to book hotels per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of tour date we may be forced to offer substitutes.
- Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $350 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of deposit. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to 100% of program price.
