The 30 islands and cays that comprise the Grenadines are among the most popular Caribbean sailing destinations for the rich and famous, but are off the beaten path for most other visitors. - Not anymore! Join a weekly departure on board a luxury 8 passenger Lagoon 400 Catamaran All Inclusive style vacation and experience everything the area has to offer!

The Grenadines are a pristine Caribbean paradise. There are exceptional white-sand beaches on virtually all the Grenadines isles and crystal-clear waters offer first-rate diving and snorkeling among world-class coral reefs. Fewer than a dozen of the islands are inhabited, and even those are lightly populated.

Diving enthusiasts will find colorful sponges, soft corals, great stands of elkhorn coral, and a few sunken wrecks. Snorkelers will love Owia Bay, in the northeastern corner of St Vincent, Lower Bay, at the southern end of Admiralty Bay on Bequia and Canouan, midway in the Grenadine chain. And everyone will enjoy unspoiled beaches and post-card perfect Caribbean islands.

Consider chartering the yacht for a private cruise.

Itinerary

Day 1
Kingstown
Enjoy a private airport transfer to the airport. The transfer is approximately 15 minutes. The luxury Lagoon 440 represents the leading edge of catamaran design with decks unencumbered by sail tie-backs. The vessel was voted Charter Boat of the Year by cruising World Magazine 2005, and features headroom of 6'9'' throughout, an 8 person dining space in the rear cockpit, forward trampolines, forward bench seating, deck shower and air conditioning throughout. The open deckside allows for plenty of room to move around and enjoy the spectacular scenery. Inside, the air conditioned salon features large 360 degree windows, allowing for picture postcard views. All cruise departures include a captain and a chef/hostess. The vessel has air-conditioning in the main salon as well as having individual controls for each cabin. When at anchor, a generator which is located beneath the seat in the rear cockpit supplies the necessary energy to run the AC. For those who prefer the natural breeze, each cabin offers a cabin deck hatch and port hole as well as a top hatch in the bath which allows air to flow throughout this area. The meeting time to board the yacht is at 5:00pm on Saturday- embarcation before this time is not possible as the crew will be busy cleaning and preparing for your trip. Enjoy some welcome cocktails and get to know your fellow passengers and crew before sitting down to a gourmet dinner aboard the yacht at the base this evening. Your crew will go through the details of what is in store for you over the next week of adventure at sea! Enjoy your first night onboard before the yacht departs tomorrow morning. The Lagoon 440 Sailing catamaran features three guest cabins, each with private ensuite bathrooms. Each cabin features a queen size berth with individual reading lamps, hanging closet, drawers, cupboards and bathroom vanity providing plenty of privacy, comfort and storage space. The bathroom features a toilet, vanity, sink, medicine cabinet and shower/faucet. The charter layout features four cabins and four heads (one is taken up by crew and three are for guests). Internet is limited to certain locations and not available in all destinations. The catamaran is very stable and comfortable. All sailing is done during the day and anchored at night in protected coves and bays to assure a restful nights sleep. Kingstown is the chief port of Saint Vincent, and the capital of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Kingstown is a center for the island's agricultural industry and a port of entry for tourists. France started a settlement here shortly after 1722. Kingstown is overlooked by Fort Charlotte on Berkshire Hill, just west of town. Over 600 feet above the bay, it is the major early 19th century fortification on Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The building work started at the turn of the century and was completed by 1806. In its heyday, it supported 600 troops and 34 guns. Some of the old barracks now house a museum with a colourful history of the Black Caribs or Garifuna depicted on its walls.

The Tobago Cays are an archipelago comprising five small uninhabited islands - Petit Rameau, Petit Bateau, Baradol, Petit Tobac and Jamesby - located in the Southern Grenadines. The Tobago Cays are now the key element of the Tobago Cays Marine Park, a national park and wildlife preserve run by the St.Vincent and the Grenadines government. The Tobago Cays Marine Park consists of a 1,400 acre sand-bottom lagoon which encompasses four uninhabited cays and the 4 km Horseshoe Reef. While the cays are uninhabited, they are surrounded by the three larger inhabited islands of Union Island, Mayreau and Canouan. The most extensive and well-developed coral reef complexes in St. Vincent & the Grenadines occur on shallow shelves around the windward sides of Mayreau and Union Islands and the Cays themselves. In addition, principal vegetation types include beach vegetation and dry forest. With the exception of a small mangrove in Petit Rameau and salt pond in Mayreau, there are no wetlands in the Cays.

Day 5
Mayreau Island - Kingstown
Mayreau Island lies on the South Western extreme of the Tobago Cays. Here, tucked away on its western side, is a unique slender stretch of land dividing the rugged windward side from the calms of the leeward. On the Leeward side is a stunningly gorgeous long white beach with a stone beach bar - you are now in Salt Whistle Bay. Venture over the top of the island to visit the little fishing village with its old Chapel and school. Before dinner onboard, your captain and hostess will prepare a floating bar with exotic cocktails. Sip and swim! Enjoy lunch (included in tour price). Enjoy dinner (included in tour price). Overnight at Lagoon 440 sailing catamaran. Mayreau is the smallest inhabited island of the Grenadines, with an area of about 1.5 sq. miles, and a population of about 300. The population is centered in Old Wall village, located on a hilltop in the southwest of the island. It is an isolated community, accessible only by boat. Electricity is only recently (2002) provided by a central generator. There is a single lane concrete road leading from Saltwhistle Bay to Saline Bay and through the village. Salt was harvested and exported in times past but is now only harvested for local use. The island is mostly populated by fishermen and supported by tourism. Saltwhistle Bay is also a very popular and beautiful spot for anchoring yachts. From the crest of the hill beside the Catholic Church, there is a beautiful overlook of the Tobago Cays, Canouan and Union Island.
