Itinerary

Day 1 Dead Sea

The Dead Sea is an inland lake lying 400m (1320ft) below sea level in the lower part of the Jordan Valley, it has more minerals and salt than any other body of water in the world and is renowned for its rejuvenating and health-giving properties. Other interesting sights around the Dead Sea include Mount Sodom, a 13km- (8 mile-) long mountain range made up of pure salt which has many caves with extraordinary hanging salt formations, and Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls, written by Essene scribes, were discovered in ancient pottery jars. Masada (Mezada) - is on the left bank of the Dead Sea on a clifftop, where the once luxurious palace of King Herod still stands (and site of the famous seige). It can be reached by cable car or a winding footpath and there is a breathtaking view of the Dead Sea and the pink mountains of Moab from here.

A private vehicle with driver will provide a transfer between Jerusalem and the Dead Sea, Israel.

Deep below sea level, at the lowest point on the face of the earth and by the shore of a unique natural phenomenon, Isrotel Dead Sea Hotel & SPa awaits you. Isrotel Dead Sea Hotel & Spa is a green oasis of health, tranquility, indulgence and spa, located in Israel, within dramatic views of desert mountains and elevated cliffs. Here too, the Isrotel chain tradition of excellence and hospitality is evident – professional spa treatments, healthy mineral mud baths, Yoga workshops, sweet water swimming pools, Dead Sea Water swimming pools, spacious rooms and the highest level of service – allowing a peaceful holiday, spa and leisure ambience, relaxation and health for your body and soul.

Day 2 Dead Sea

This tour explore the site of Qasr al-Yahud, recognized as one of the locations where Jesus was baptised by John the Baptist in the Jordan River. Explore the main remains of several churches, some dating as far back as the 5th Century, and other monuments at this location.

Enjoy a thrilling sound and light show, presented against the dramatic backdrop of the Masada fortress.  The story gives light into the life of the rebels' last days at the cliff top fortress.

Day 3 Dead Sea

During this tour, experience the true desert oasis of Ein Gedi. Visit the ancient synagogue, the highpoint of archaeology in Ein Gedi. This site was only recently opened in 1997, after a mosaic floor was accidentally discovered in 1965 when the field was plowed.  Ein Gedi's vegetation is a unique blend of tropical, desert and Mediterranean plants. With more than 400 species of birds during migration seasons, Ein Gedi is also a birdwatcher's paradise. The oasis became a state-operated nature reserve in 1972, and close monitoring by local park rangers and environmental specialists have kept Ein Gedi's delicate ecosystem intact. Ein Gedi also boasts a botanical garden; home to 25 acres of rare flora and fauna, from tropical trees found in the Brazilian rainforests to species of cactus originating in the deserts of South America. Finally a visit to Ein Gedi is not complete without a splash in the natural springs! Relax at the Ein Gedi Spa-Private Beach.
