Day 1
Berlin Say Berlin and people immediately think of the Wall, even though it is over a decade since "Die Mauer" was broken down. But Berlin has much more to offer and is growing in popularity with tourists wanting something with a bit more grit than most European destinations. The city has been in the midst of rapid regeneration in the last few years and in the West super-modern buildings provide a backdrop for a dynamic and cosmopolitan city that is distinctly new millennium in outlook. The East meanwhile is a model of twenty-first century urban development - the grey Communist concrete has been replaced with gleaming new structures that look to the city's future rather than dwelling on the past. Enjoy an airport transfer (Tempelhof/Tegel) with private vehicle and German speaking Driver. Kensington Tours donates a portion of proceeds to our charitable initiative www.kensingtoncares.com which supports education-based initiatives in disadvantaged communities. The Grand City Excelsior Hotel (4*) is located in one of the best areas of Berlin, in walking distance to the famous Kurfuerstendamm and KaDeWe, commercial areas and the Zoological Garden. The ICC convention centre can be reached easily by public transport, as well as Tegel Internatioanl Airport and Schoenefeld Airport. The hotel offers 314 modern en-suite rooms in two categories, equipped with air-conditioning, cable & pay-TV, coffee- and tea-making facilities, WLAN, telephone and mini-bar. A spacious hotel lobby, a hotel bar and 2 restaurants care for the physical well-being of all international guests. Overnight at Excelsior (4*). |
