Itinerary

Day 1 Bodrum

Bodrum is a Turkish port town located southwestern Aegean Region of the country, on the Gulf of Gökova, and facing the Greek island of Kos. It is an international center of tourism and yachting. The city was called Halicarnassus of Caria in ancient times. The Mausoleum of Mausolus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, was here. Bodrum Castle, built by the Crusaders in the 15th century, overlooks the harbor and the International Marina. The castle grounds includes a Museum of Underwater Archeology and hosts several cultural festivals throughout the year.

Enjoy an airport transfer with your private car and driver.

A gullet is a traditional design of a two-masted wooden sailing vessel from the south-west coast of Turkey. The Bodrum-built design is between 19 - 25 meters and accommodates between 12 and 16 guests in 6 to 8 cabins. The cabins have en-suite WC & handheld showers (with hot & cold water). There is a music set, VHF radiotelephone and a dinghy on each yacht. Air conditioning is available as an upgrade. Gulet yacht cruising is all about tranquillity and getting away from the pressures of modern day life, whilst cruising the crystal clear azure waters that gently lap the famous and magnificent coastline of south-western Turkey.

Day 2 Gulf of Gokova

The Gulf of Gokova is a narrow gulf of the Aegean Sea which separates the Bodrum peninsula from the Resadiye peninsula in southwest Turkey. Bodrum (ancient Halicarnassus), located in its northwest reaches, is the only large city on the gulf today, but the gulf was originally named for the ancient city of Ceramus, on the north shore. The Greek island of Kos closes off the gulf from the Aegean.

While you have breakfast, you will be informed about the cruise programme and the boat. Then set sail for Orak Island. Take the opportunity to swim in the crystal-blue waters of Orak Island and to have lunch.

Cokertme is a small and lovely fishing town, and guests are welcome to take a short walk on the shore. Anchor in the bay for dinner and overnight stay.
