Day 1
Vienna Vienna is situated in the northeast with the Danube River running through the northern suburbs of the city. The Ringstrasse forms the boundary of the elegant First District, with its fine architecture, shops and hotel. The Hapsburgs who ruled the country for six centuries resided in the Hofburg where the Kaiser-Apartments (Imperial Apartments) and the Crown Jewels are now open to the public. The Spanish Riding School in the Hofburg where the famous white Lipizzaner stallions perform finely executed dressage manoeuvres to Viennese classical music is very popular with tourists. Schloss Schönbrunn, can be compared with Versailles; its landscaped park is also home to the world’s oldest zoo. There are more than 50 museums open to the public, including the Natural History Museum, the Austrian Museum of Applied Arts, the Museum of the 20th Century, the Museum of Modern Art, the Museums quarter, the Künstlerhaus, the Clock and Watch Museum and the Technology Museum. Day 2
Vienna Spend an enjoyable 4 hours exploring the city of Vienna today on a private tour which will provide an overall impression of the most significant sights of Vienna. Along the Ringstrasse admire numerous magnificent buildings, such as the MAK, the State Opera House, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Natural History Museum, the cultural district the Museums Quartier, the former Habsburg winter residence, the Hofburg, the Parliament, the City Hall and the Burgtheater. The highlight of the tour will be a visit of the showrooms of Schönbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the Habsburg family. The MAK shows applied and contemporary art in temporary exhibitions as well as in its unique permanent and study collections. On the way back to the opera pass by the Belvedere Palace, the former summer residence of Prince Eugene. The tour takes 3 hours and includes the entrance fee to the Schonbrunn Palace. Day 3
Vienna Transfer using a local taxi. Please note that this is not included in trip price and is payable locally. Every day besides Monday, the white Lipizzan stallions are put through their paces by their riders. The primary objective is to maintain the horses' athleticism and health, as well as to build up various muscle groups that are necessary for performing the exercises of the haute école. Day 4
Salzburg Salzburg is the fourth-largest city in Austria and the capital of the federal state of Salzburg. It's "Old Town" with its world famous baroque architecture is one of the best-preserved city centres in the German-speaking world, and was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. The city is noted for its Alpine setting. It is the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the setting for parts of the musical and film The Sound of Music, which features famous landmarks in Austria, but focuses mainly on Salzburg. Day 5
Salzburg Spend part of today tobogganing in Abtenau and enjoy some pure Winter pleasure! The sled equipment can be rented directly from the mountain station from where you hop on the cabintrain to the station at the top of the mountain where there is a nice retreat in the Karkogel hut. The toboggan run was built especifically for sledding and therefore is always an ideal slope. The toboggan course is illuminated at night, so evening activity is also possible. The toboggan course ends at the mountain station's outdoor bar where you can relax and enjoy the vistas and the ambiance of the ski hill. (includes transportation to and from Salzburg). Day 6
Salzburg A unique opportunity to experience the Winter Wonderland in Salzburg is taking a half day excursion to the enchanting village of Faistenau. From here, let a sleigh glide you through a Winter paradise. Snuggle up under warm blankets and marvel at the picturesque scenery. After the sleigh ride (approx. 1hr) stop for a warm drink at a local bar. Warm clothing, gloves, and warm shoes are essenial for this tour. Overnight at Castellani Park (4*). |

- Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price, minimum $250). The balance is due 90 days prior to departure. We accept payment via credit card, certified check, wire transfer or money order.
- Tour quotes do not include airfare to/from the trip start point unless noted on the itinerary
- Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
- Availability cannot be guaranteed until booked. We will exercise best efforts to book hotels per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of tour date we may be forced to offer substitutes.
- Cancellations 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund less any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise, or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of deposit. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to 100% of program price.
