Palma de Majorca boasts over 300 days a year of sunshine! Upon arrival to Palma on the island of Majorca, you'll be met by the warm Mediterranean breeze and tall palm trees that line the wide avenues. Explore the city with a Guide - with many winding, narrow streets and the magnificent cathedral built on the site of a former Arab mosque, it has plenty to offer the visitor. Visit Bellver Castle which dates from the 14th century and is unique amongst Spanish castles thanks to its circular design. Built originally as a royal fortress located above the city, it gives spectacular views across the Bay of Palma towards the airport and beyond. Avail of any number of optional activities such as a round of golf, a fishing trip, a cruise on the waters, or an excursion to some quaint villages and towns such as Valldemosa - where Chopin spent some of his life. With 24/7 support, private airport transfers, quality accommodation and a variety of optional activities, you can truy make this trip your own.

Day 1
Palma de Mallorca Palma de Mallorca is a sophisticated Spanish city a world away from the brash resorts elsewhere on the island. It has stylish restaurants, a fascinating old town, clean, safe beaches and lots of museums and galleries. The first thing that will strike you is the imposing Gothic cathedral, which dominates the sweeping bay. The medieval old town that surrounds the cathedral is equally interesting - the narrow cobbled streets and tall thin buildings are reminiscent of Spain's further flung colonies of centuries ago. Go underground at the Caves of Genova, where stalagmites and stalactites join to form giant and spectacular columns. The sea front is lined with an array of restaurants, where you can dine on traditionally prepared fresh Mediterranean fish while taking in the views over the azure waters of the bay. You will be met be your private car and driver for your transfer. A welcome package with your vouchers, a city map, train tickets (if relevant) and any other touristic information that we deem you may find useful will be waiting for you upon your arrival at your first hotel on your trip. Upon your arrival, you will receive a special Welcome Gift along with your Welcome Package. Enjoy your time in Spain! AC Ciutat de Palma Hotel (4*) is located just 50m from the promenade and Palma’s Royal Yacht Club. Each of the 85 rooms at the AC Ciutat De Palma offer uniquely modern and sophisticated settings, adorned with trendy furnishings and yet a warmly inviting feel. The hotel restaurant offers a hearty buffet in an elegant environment while the bar serves up mouthwatering drinks in an equally refined setting. Walk to the beach, or enjoy a stroll along Palma's charming seafront promenade, where you can breathe in the fresh sea air. Overnight at AC Ciutat de Palma (4*). |

Day 2
Palma de Mallorca Enjoy a half day (4 hr) tour of Palma de Majorca and the surrounding area on a private tour with your own vehicle, Driver and Guide. Majorca boasts a huge selection of fabulous beaches ranging from quaint coves where you'll be amongst just the few people who can find it to the massive beaches serving the popular holiday resorts. And with over 300 days of sunshine a year you can't go far wrong in choosing this island paradise for your beach holiday destination! As you arrive at Palma airport you are just a few minutes away from the resorts of Can Pastilla and El Arenal where a beautiful 6km beach makes up what is known as the Playa de Palma. This is the top beach East of Palma. Beaches west of Palma include Cala Mayor which has a small golden beach looking up to the Marivent Palace. San Agustin is a little further west which is similarly small and has a pleasant stretch of sand. Illetes consists of two pretty coves with pine trees stretching as far as the shore. Portals Nous has a small beach lying between holiday developments. Both Palma Nova and Magaluf have excellent beaches with great sand - It's no wonder this is one of the most developed tourist sections on the whole island. Santa Ponca is yet another beach with fine sand and crystal-clear waters. Peguera has beaches with fine sand surrounded by pine trees. Camp de Mar, is highly recommended whilst Andratx is pleasant because it is quieter than in the big resorts. Overnight at AC Ciutat de Palma (4*). |

Day 3
Palma de Mallorca There is plenty to do both in the city of Palma de Majorca as well as in the surrounding area on the island. Consider spending time on any of the great beaches that lie to both sides of the city. If you feel like exploring further afield, consider taking the historical train (dating to 1912) to the pretty town of Soller which has many modernist buildings, lots of great little shops, and plenty of restaurants with outdoor dining. The town also has a great Botanical gardens located just outside of the centre. Take the small streetcar that runs between the town of Soller and the port of the same name, and taketo the sea on a private chartered boat to do a spot of fishing. Alternatively, visit the town of Valldemosa - In 1838 Frederic Chopin and George Sand arrived in Majorca to continue their love affair in this idyllic town in the Tramuntana mountains just 18km from Palma. Other than the natural beauty of the town, the principal architectural attraction is the Royal Carthusian Monastery. Majorca has many great golf courses with great coastal views. Please contact your Sales Advisor if you are interested in any of these optional tours. You will be met be your private car and driver for your transfer. Kensington Tours donates a portion of proceeds to our charitable initiative www.kensingtoncares.com which supports education-based initiatives in disadvantaged communities. Depart from International Airport. End of itinerary. Overnight at Depart (Int`l Airport) (standard). |
