Day 1
Luzern Lucerne is the most populous city in Central Switzerland and a focal point of the region. Due to its location on the shore of Lake Lucerne, within sight of Mount Pilatus and Rigi in the Swiss Alps, Lucerne is traditionally considered first and foremost as a tourist destination. One of the city's famous landmarks is Chapel Bridge, a wooden bridge first built in the 14th century. Another famous statue would be Bertel Thorvaldsen's Lion Monument of a dying lion which commemorates the hundreds of Swiss Guards who were massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution, when the mob stormed the Tuileries Palace in Paris. Enjoy a train station transfer with private vehicle and driver. A welcome package with your itinerary, vouchers, a city map, train tickets (if relevant) and any other touristic information that we deem you may find useful will be waiting for you upon your arrival at your first hotel on your trip. Waldstaetterhof Swiss Quality Hotel (3*) is located by the railway station and also close to the lake, old town, culture as well as the congress centre. Rest and relax at the hotel's well-appointed accommodation units, where you can enjoy the comforts of contemporary rooms with their reminiscence and tradition. Serving fine fresh food, the alcohol-free restaurant also offers a diverse selection of vegetarian meals for you to feast on. At leisure, you can explore the city of Lucerne and its beautiful attractions or pamper your senses at the sauna. Overnight at Waldstaetterhof Swiss Quality (3*). |
