A visit to the Golden Temple in Amritsar is a spiritual experience that is to last a lifetime. It is the holiest shrine of Sikh religion. The temple is famous not only for the unique legends associated with it but also for its superior beauty and intricate craftsmanship. Also visit the Wagah Border, where you can witness the ceremonial changing of guard. The soldiers parading in full swing, the march-past followed by the singing of national anthem and other patriotic songs.

Overnight train from Delhi to Amritsar (A/C first class)

Delhi is a city of dramatic contrasts, and is the most popular starting point for any tour of India. A tour to Old Delhi includes the Red Fort and the mosque of Jama Masjid with a stroll through the bazaars of Chandni Chowk ("Moonlit Square"). A New Delhi travel includes the Humayun's Tomb, in many ways the precursor of the Taj Mahal, the India Gate, a memorial dedicated to the unknown soldiers who laid their lives in the World War I, the President's House, and the Parliament House.

Day 2 Amritsar

Transfer to hotel with private vehicle, driver, and English speaking guide. Enjoy lunch at leisure (not included in tour price). When the sun decides to say goodbye to a peaceful day its time for the reunion, which transcends the boundaries, that man has laid. From Amritsar 35 Km on the road to Lahore(Pakistan), is India-Pakistan border, which is also known as "Attari(India)-"Wagah" (Pakistan) border. A visit to the border is an interesting experience, especially at sun-set, when the retreat ceremony takes place with the Border Security Force (B.S.F.)

Amritsar, meaning The Lake of the Holy Nectar, is located in the west of Punjab. It is home to the Harimandir Sahib, also known as the Golden Temple, and is the spiritual and cultural center of the Sikh religion. This important Sikh shrine attracts more visitors than the Taj Mahal in Agra and is the number one destination for non-resident Indians in the whole of India.

Day 3 Amritsar

The abode of Bliss and Blessings, Golden temple is the holiest of the shrines of Sikh religion. Guru Arjun Dev requested the great contemporary Muslim saint Mian Meer to lay the foundation stone of this shrine in January 1589, thus the building was completed in 1601 and the Holy Scripture of Sikhs Adi Granth was installed in Temple in 1604. Invaded by Afghan invaders thrice in 1757,1762, and 1764,the temple was re-built in its present form in 1776. Enjoy lunch at leisure (not included in tour price). Continue your full day tour. Day 4 Delhi

Train xfer to Delhi in A/C First Class, arrives 11:10 Airport transfer with private vehicle, driver, and English-speaking assistant. Departure tax will be charged at Delhi airport, paid in cash by the passengers: 5US$ per person for domestic flights, and 27US$ per person for International flights.

Trip Terms & Conditions

  • Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price, minimum $250). The balance is due 90 days prior to departure. We accept payment via credit card, certified check, wire transfer or money order.
  • Tour quotes do not include international air fare to/from the trip start point unless noted on the itinerary
  • Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
  • We will exercise best efforts to book hotels per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of tour date we may be forced to offer substitutes.
  • Cancellations 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund less any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of deposit. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to 100% of program price.
