Day 1
Jackson Jackson is in Northwest Wyoming, close to the south end of Grand Teton National Park. It is the gateway to two of the United States' best-known national parks, Grand Teton itself and nearby Yellowstone. Many famous people maintain vacation homes in and around this area. The combined elements of beautiful mountain scenery, Old West heritage, tourist traps and celebrity residents give this small town a unique atmosphere both cosmopolitan and frontier. "Jackson" is the name of the town, while "Jackson Hole" refers to either the greater valley area or the Jackson Hole Ski Resort. Salt Lake City, Utah, served by several major airlines, is about a five hour drive from Jackson. You will be provided with a pre-departure package which will include all necessary information that you will need for your trip including materials such as vouchers, maps, train tickets (if relevant) etc. Enjoy a private transfer between your Teton Village area hotel and Jackson Hole airport. Options include hot air ballooning, a hunting trip, jeep tours, Llama packing (hiking with a llama carrying your back pack!), miniature golf, mountaineering, a photography excursion, horseback riding, biking, boating, chuck wagon dinners, fishing, river float trips, hiking, golf, elk bugling - Fall foliage tour, alpine slide (an exhilarating slide down Snow King Mountain). Spring Creek Ranch, a year-round luxury resort, is located on a wildlife sanctuary, almost 1,000 feet above the town of Jackson, with spectacular views of the Teton Mountain Range, including the world famous 13,700 foot Grand Teton.
