This part of the Yukon has the distinction of being one of Canada's driest cities. So it is a comfortable and ideal gateway to experience the north. Day 1
Whitehorse Avail of an Airport transfer in Whitehorse with a private vehicle and driver. Enjoy time at leisure to explore at your own pace, or relax at your hotel. Enjoy dinner at leisure (not included in tour price). As featured on Martha Stewart Living and recently listed by National Geographic Traveller as Top 150 places to stay for 2009, this lodge located 35 minutes by car from Whitehorse, Yukon is the top rated accommodation and conference centre in the Yukon. Canada Select 4.5 Stars. The location is ideal for daily excursions and attractions in Whitehorse, Atlin British Columbia and Skagway, Alaska. The resort has a number of room categories and cottage options. Your stay includes in the summer, mountain bikes, canoes, kayaks, peddle boats, fitness center, hot tub and sauna. Day 2
Whitehorse Put on your hiking boots and fill the day-packs with everything needed to enjoy a hike in the surrounding mountains. The crisp clean air and spectacular views make this a strenuous but fun day. There is an option to stay in the alpine over night, returning to camp the next day. This overnight option is only recommended for children twelve years of age and over and guests in moderate to strong physical conditioning, due to the fact that we will have to carry loaded pack-backs in order to stay out for the night comfortably. Day 3
Whitehorse Inflate your whitewater raft and head off down the Takhini River for a floating day-trip. Paddle and drift through the river valley along with the glacial waters that pour out of Kusawa Lake. There will be opportunities to fish for arctic grayling along the way, and your will have a picnic lunch over the campfire beside the river. There is one class II rapid along the route for a little excitement, but in general the day will be tranquil, as we move at a more natural pace, set by the land and flowing water. Day 4
Whitehorse Put on your paddling gear (provided) and after introductory lessons on the basics of sea kayaking, head off on a paddling tour to the inflow of the Primrose River, as it tumbles down from the mountains, bringing with its cold glacial water. You may be lucky and see eagles as you enjoy a hot lunch over the fire at the mouth of the river. Fish for grayling and trout. Don’t worry, we have doubles kayaks that will allow adults to take a younger child with them, and based on skill levels, we can bring our support Zodiac along for the day to ensure that everyone is safe and comfortable. Day 5
Whitehorse Today you will have the opportunity for a river canoe trip. By now your guide has taught you the basics of canoeing around camp, and today you will challenge yourself with moving water on the Takini River. After a skills refresher, head down the river practicing how to maneuver the boat in the gentle current of the river. A picnic lunch along the way will keep energy and spirits high. Don’t worry parents, younger children can travel in the canoe with the guide, where they don’t need to paddle at all, if they are little. Enjoy lunch (included in tour price). Day 6
Whitehorse Today the theme is rest and relaxation. After a lazy start to morning and a late lingering breakfast, enjoy a day of rest. From the comfort of your wilderness camp you can read books from the library, tinker around camp or make a traditional craft near the fire. The day is yours and your guide will help you enjoy it however you wish. For an additional charge, today could also be a day to fly above the glacial fields of Kluane National Park, the largest sub-polar ice fields in the world. The one-hour-and-fifteen-minute flight will take you above 15,000 ft peaks, gliding over glaciers the size of cities and skimming across azure-coloured glacial lakes. You will get a very up-close vista of the largest non-polar ice field in the world! After our flight ends, go to Kluane National Park Visitor Centre, have a picnic lunch, stop at the local bakery for a treat, and by late afternoon we will be on our way back to Kusawa Lake, to our wilderness camp.

Trip Terms & Conditions
- Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price, minimum $250). The balance is due 90 days prior to departure. We accept payment via credit card, certified check, wire transfer or money order.
- Tour quotes do not include airfare to/from the trip start point unless noted on the itinerary
- Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
- Availability cannot be guaranteed until booked. We will exercise best efforts to book hotels per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of tour date we may be forced to offer substitutes.
- Cancellations 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund less any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise, or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of deposit. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to 100% of program price.
