Explore the UNESCO city of Quebec, while spending a night at the iconic Ice Hotel! Quebec City is wonderful at any time of the year, but it is extra special when the cobblestoned streets are covered in snow. Enjoy exploring the historical part of the city, stop in for a well deserved homemade hot chocolate in one of the "chocolatiers" and enjoy the feeling of being in France.

A truly unique experience, the Ice Hotel is rebuilt every year and only opens from January until March. Marvel at the ice sculptures and art work, have fun snow shoeing, snowmobiling, ice fishing or dogsledding. Alternatively, relax in the state of the art Scandinavian spa with its indoor and outdoor pools and treatments.

Itinerary

Day 1 Quebec City

Quebec City is the capital of the province of Quebec. Founded in 1608 by Samuel de Champlain, Quebec City is one of the oldest cities in North America. The ramparts surrounding Old Quebec are the only remaining fortified city walls in the Americas north of Mexico, and were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Quebec City is internationally known for its Summer Festival, Winter Carnival, and the Château Frontenac, a hotel which dominates the city skyline. The National Museum of Fine Arts and Museum of Civilization are found near Vieux-Québec. Other attractions near the city are Montmorency Falls and the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré.

Meet your driver for a private airport transfer.

You will be provided with a pre-departure package which will include all necessary information that you will need for your trip including materials such as vouchers, maps, train tickets (if relevant) etc.

Quebec City is a year-round destination, but it really comes alive in wintertime! From the end of January to mid-February you can experience The Quebec Winter Carnival, where you can see snow sculptures, watch canoe races and visit the Ice Palace. This is the best time of year to visit a Sugar Shack, and see how world-famous Canadian Maple Syrup is made! While Quebec City is a veritable winter wonderland, it is also a world-class city; Old Quebec alone has over 100 restaurants, and The Grande-Allée is the place to find bars, nightclubs and more. You’ll never be bored in Quebec City!

Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac (4.5*) is not only located high on a bluff overlooking the mighty St. Lawrence River at the heart of Old Québec - it is the heart of Old Québec. Guests are guaranteed a memorable and inspiring stay in one of the most beautiful cities in the world with easy walking access to all of the wonderful sites and experiences that Old Québec has to offer. Offering newly renovated luxurious guestrooms, exquisite dining experiences through distinctive European charm, this stately luxury hotel stands above the United Nations World Heritage Site-Old Québec.
