St. John's is the provincial capital of Newfoundland and Labrador, located on the eastern tip of the Avalon Peninsula on the island of Newfoundland. The city enjoys a long and vibrant history as the oldest English-founded city in North America. The harbour was a frequent haven for European fisherman throughout the early 1500s, and was officially declared an English colony in 1583. St. John's has over 400 restaurants. Situated in the downtown area on Water St. and Duckworth, there are numerous shops, restaurants and historic buildings. It is a rugged and rocky outcrop overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, with a distinctive accent and fishing culture that makes it completely unique.

Consider a sailing cruise to see whales and marine life, an afternoon kayaking, or a sightseeing trip to see any of the picturesque fishing villages along the coast such as Logy Bay, Middle Cove, Torbay, Flat Rock and Pouch Covenorth of St. John’s. Alternatively, a scenic ferry ride to Bell Island and tour the island may be of interest or a full day excursion taking in the pretty communities along the Irish loop with a majestic coastline scenery.
