Day 2 Quebec City

Quebec City is the capital of the province of Quebec. Founded in 1608 by Samuel de Champlain, Quebec City is one of the oldest cities in North America. The ramparts surrounding Old Quebec are the only remaining fortified city walls in the Americas north of Mexico, and were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Quebec City is internationally known for its Summer Festival, Winter Carnival, and the Château Frontenac, a hotel which dominates the city skyline. The National Museum of Fine Arts and Museum of Civilization are found near Vieux-Québec. Other attractions near the city are Montmorency Falls and the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré.

This morning travel through the New England states of New Hampshire and Vermont on your way to Canada. You will pass small villages and drive through the picturesque White Mountains, particularly beautiful during the fall foliage. In the late afternoon, cross the U.S./Canadian border to enter the province of Québec. This evening, take the opportunity to sample some of the celebrated French cuisine (optional).

Day 3 Montreal

Begin the day with a tour of Québec City, the French capital of the province and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights include the Québec Provincial Parliament Building and the Citadelle. Then enjoy a walking tour of the walled city, where you will see the Chateau de Frontenac, as well as unparalleled views of the Saint Lawrence River. Take in some shopping and lunch before leaving for Montréal. Upon arrival, go on a tour of Old Montréal, the area known as the “Vieux Port,” with stops at Place Jacques Cartier and Notre Dame Basilica. The evening is at leisure.

Try the new culture and culinary walking tour during which you will get wind of the finest gourmet boutiques that are found on the island of Orleans.

Day 4 Toronto

Toronto is a cosmopolitan city with a wonderful network of parks, recreational and cultural facilities. It is the largest city in Canada, with a population consisting of over 2.5 million people. Toronto is the home of seven professional sports teams and the third largest English-speaking theatre district in the world, behind New York and London. It is one of the world's most multicultural cities, home to more than 80 ethnic communities (half of people living in Toronto were born outside Canada). A dominant force in the business and economy of the nation, it is also the cultural centre of English-speaking Canada. Toronto is known as a city of neighborhoods. Districts are often centered one of the main streets (Queen, College, Bloor etc), and packed tightly together, with each having something different to offer each visitor. The relative compactness of these neighborhoods makes exploring on foot easy and pleasant, especially in the warmer months.

Depart Montréal for the capital of Canada, Ottawa. This vibrant city of parks and flowers boasts one of the most impressive parliament buildings in the world. In the afternoon, continue along the Thousand Islands Parkway to the largest English-speaking city in Canada, Toronto, located on the shore of Lake Ontario. This evening is at leisure to enjoy dinner and perhaps do some shopping in the well-known Eaton Center.

Day 5 Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls is located on the Niagara River, and separates the US and Canada. The falls are 17 miles (27 km) northwest of Buffalo, New York and 75 miles (120 km) southeast of Toronto, Ontario, between the twin cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Niagara Falls, New York. Niagara Falls is composed of two major sections; Horseshoe Falls and American Falls, separated by Goat Island. It is an international tourism destination and has a wide range of attractions; Maid of the Mist, falls tunnel, amusement parks, shopping, casino, kilometers of parks and gardens, plus nearby golf, hiking, and biking on the Niagara escarpment.

Begin the day with a drive through Toronto’s business district to see its impressive collection of modern skyscrapers, most notably, the CN Tower, the world’s tallest free-standing structure (1,815 ft./553 m). Continue along Lake Ontario, crossing the Welland Canal, before arriving at Niagara Falls, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy this natural wonder. Stroll along Table Rock and view the thundering water of the Horseshoe Falls. Perhaps take an optional tour on the renowned Maid of the Mist boat ride at the base of the Falls.

Today ride through the rolling farmland of upstate New York, known as the Finger Lakes Region, and enter the Keystone State of Pennsylvania. In the afternoon, visit the historic Gettysburg Civil War National Battleground, site of the largest battle ever fought on American soil, and the place where Abraham Lincoln gave his famous address in 1863. Travel along the Susquehanna River to South Pennsylvania for you overnight stay.

Day 7 Washington DC

Washington, D.C. (District of Columbia) is the capital of the United States of America. It is a planned city, designed specifically to house the federal government. Its history, beautiful architecture, and excellent cultural centers attract millions of visitors each year. Virtually all of D.C.'s tourists flock to the Mall, a two-mile long, beautiful stretch of parkland that comprises many of the city's monuments and museums, but other city neighbourhoods have their own charms. Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan have superb cafes and the best nightlife. Georgetown has upscale shopping and don't miss the National Cathedral and Zoo.

Travel through rural countryside to Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Visit an Amish Museum and see their 300-year-old tradition of simple living (admission included). The Amish people live in a world that stopped in the mid-1850s. They use no electricity, mechanical devices, or modern equipment. In the afternoon, continue to the nation’s capital, Washington D.C.

Enjoy a city tour with such highlights as the U.S. Capitol Building, Supreme Court, Library of Congress, the F.B.I. Building, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, the White House and Arlington National Cemetery, site of the John F. Kennedy Memorial. Spend the remainder of the day exploring some of the many museums comprising the Smithsonian Institute.

The Washington DC After Dark Tour shows you our national monuments and federal buildings flooded in lights. From the illuminated dome of the US Capitol to the World War II Memorial, these are exciting sights to see. Step off the coach and visit: The Jefferson, Lincoln, Vietnam, Korean and FDR Memorials. Day 9 New York City

New York City, the biggest city in the United States, lies at the mouth of the Hudson River in the southern most part of the state, which is part of the Mid-Atlantic region of the USA. New York City consists of five boroughs, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, and Staten Island. Each borough has a unique culture and could be a large city in its own right. Visitors to Manhattan usually divide their time between Downtown (Wall St, Liberty Island ferry, Chinatown, SoHo, East Village), Midtown (Times Square, Theatres, Empire State, 5th Ave stores, Chelsea, Gramercy), and Uptown (Central Park, Upper East Side museums, Harlem, Upper West cafes).

Transfer to New York via Philadelphia where you will stop to see Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. The tour ends in midtown Manhattan upon arrival at the Omni Shoreham hotel at approximately 18:30 hours. A tour escort will be available to assist in arranging any transfers if you should require.

In the afternoon, enjoy some time on your own to relax.

  • Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price, minimum $250). The balance is due 90 days prior to departure. We accept payment via credit card, certified check, wire transfer or money order.
  • Tour quotes do not include airfare to/from the trip start point unless noted on the itinerary
  • Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
  • Availability cannot be guaranteed until booked. We will exercise best efforts to book hotels per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of tour date we may be forced to offer substitutes.
  • Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $350 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of deposit. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to 100% of program price.
