Day 2 Cheyenne

Cheyenne is the capital and largest city of the U.S. state of Wyoming and the county seat of Laramie County. Cheyenne Frontier Days, held annually on the last full week of July, is the largest outdoor rodeo in the US. The events include professional bull riding, cattle roping, barrel racing and many others. During this week there are many parades and other events. Additionally there is a carnival with numerous rides, games and shops. Places of interest in the old frontier town include: The Downtown District, Lakeview District, Rainsford District, Fort David A. Russell, Union Pacific Roundhouse.

Motorcoach tour commences. Enjoy a short city tour of the “Mile High” city of Denver before beginning the ascent into the Rocky Mountain National Park. Take the Trail Ridge Road, known as Rocky Mountain National Park’s “highway to the sky” because it provides travelers with the entire sweep of the grandeur of the Rockies in all directions. Continue to Cheyenne, the rodeo and railroad capital of the Old West!

The Historic Plains Hotel has been a proud fixture of Cheyenne for almost a century, first catering to Wyoming's earliest captains of industry in 1911. Depart Cheyenne this morning for a visit to Fort Laramie. Then enter South Dakota and travel to majestic Mt. Rushmore National Memorial, an epic sculpture where the faces of four American presidents are carved into the mountain. Your overnight stay is in the Black Hills.

Day 4 Cody

Cody is a city in Park County, Wyoming, United States. The primary industry in Cody is tourism. Hotels, restaurants and shops cater to travelers coming to visit the West and Yellowstone Park. Cody has several art galleries, with some notable local painters and artists living in the area. Another industry is western style furniture, with several small furniture makers producing custom pieces. The oil industry seems to wax and wane over the years in the Cody area.

Return to Wyoming today and see the Big Horn Mountains, which stretch from the plains of Wyoming northward into Montana, en route to the town of Cody. Visit the Buffalo Bill Historic Center (admission included) and see Old West memorabilia. Evening at leisure.

The Buffalo Bill Village Cody is a historic landmark, with 83 individual cabins and offers nostalgic exteriors with all the amenities you've come to expect in a hotel. Guests at the Buffalo Bill Village are welcome to all shared amenities on site. It is open from May through September. The Buffalo Bill Village is unique. Day 5 Yellowstone NP

Yellowstone National Park is a United States National Park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was the world's first national park, set aside in 1872 to preserve the vast number of geysers, hot springs, and other thermal areas, as well as to protect the incredible wildlife and rugged beauty of the area. The park is principally contained within the northwest corner of Wyoming, but also extends into the states of Idaho and Montana. Yellowstone is serviced by the Jackson Hole Airport (in Grand Teton National Park) or Salt Lake City (a 5-6hr drive). There are five gates around the perimeter of this vast park, and many gorgeous sites - the most popular is Old Faithful geyser.

A short drive leads to the immense Yellowstone National Park. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of geysers, waterfalls, wildlife and canyons. Highlights will include Yellowstone Lake, Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone Canyon’s majestic falls, and beautiful Hayden Valley. Overnight in West Yellowstone, Montana.

Day 6 Jackson Hole

Jackson is in Northwest Wyoming, close to the south end of Grand Teton National Park. It is the gateway to two of the United States' best-known national parks, Grand Teton itself and nearby Yellowstone. Many famous people maintain vacation homes in and around this area. The combined elements of beautiful mountain scenery, Old West heritage, tourist traps and celebrity residents give this small town a unique atmosphere both cosmopolitan and frontier. "Jackson" is the name of the town, while "Jackson Hole" refers to either the greater valley area or the Jackson Hole Ski Resort. Salt Lake City, Utah, served by several major airlines, is about a five hour drive from Jackson.

This morning’s journey is through the rugged, snow-capped mountains which welcome you to Grand Teton National Park. The so-called “towering Tetons” were formed by a series of earthquakes millions of years ago along a single fault line. Continue to the sophisticated “Crown Jewel” of the Rocky Mountains, Jackson Hole.

Salt Lake City is the capital of Utah. Temple Square in downtown Salt Lake City is one of the most visited sites in the country. Salt Lake City is well-known for the many ski resorts located in the Wasatch Mountains just to the east and southeast of the city, which were thrust into the world spotlight by the 2002 Winter Olympics. They are famous for the light, fluffy snowfalls caused by the low humidity. Summer activities, such as camping, hiking, mountain biking, rock-climbing, fishing, boating, etc are also popular. Salt Lake City is a 5-hour drive away from the major national parks and striking desert sandstone terrain of southern Utah.

Travel through scenic southern Idaho to Salt Lake City in the Mormon State of Utah. See the State Capitol building and visit famed Temple Square and the Tabernacle before arriving at the hotel for the evening.

Day 8 Bryce Canyon National Park

Bryce Canyon National Park is a United States National Park that is located in Utah's Canyon Country. Some 35,835 acres (14,502 ha) or 56 mi² (145 km²) in extent, the designated area around the spectacular Bryce Canyon (not actually a canyon, but rather a giant natural amphitheater created by erosion) became a United States National Monument in 1923 and was designated as a National Park in 1928. The park is one of the most popular in Utah with nearly one million people visiting each year.

Continue today to spectacular Bryce Canyon, where a tour through a multi-colored world of sandstone spires and pinnacles will dazzle the eyes. Enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 9 Grand Canyon National Park

Grand Canyon National Park is a United States National Park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is located entirely in northern Arizona and is one of the great tourist attractions in the United States. There are two ways to approach the Canyon: the remote North Rim and the more accessible (and therefore more crowded) South Rim. Both areas have several options for camping, as well as hotels and restaurants. Expect all of these facilities to be overflowing with visitors during the busy summer season. Fall, spring, and winter are all great times to visit the Grand Canyon.

Dramatic rock formations carved by forces of water, wind and time make Zion National Park a must visit. Continue to stunning Lake Powell, where blue water laps against towering red rock canyon walls. Lake Powell is the second largest man-made lake in America, and one in a series of lakes formed by the damming of the Colorado River. Yavapai West Lodge is Grand Canyon National Park Lodges' largest facility and is surrounded by Pinyon and Juniper woodlands, about 1/2 mile from the rim. Las Vegas is the largest city in the state of Nevada, known as "the Entertainment Capital of the World", and is situated in the midst of the southern Nevada desert. Continue to Ventura and Los Angeles, the “City of Angels,” where you will take a city tour which includes visits to Mann’s Chinese Theater, Sunset Strip, Hollywood and parts of Beverly Hills and Santa Monica. Your tour concludes upon arrival at the Crowne Plaza LAX Hotel by approximately 19:00 hours.

  • Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price, minimum $250). The balance is due 90 days prior to departure. We accept payment via credit card, certified check, wire transfer or money order.
  • Tour quotes do not include airfare to/from the trip start point unless noted on the itinerary
  • Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
  • Availability cannot be guaranteed until booked. We will exercise best efforts to book hotels per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of tour date we may be forced to offer substitutes.
  • Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $350 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of deposit. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to 100% of program price.
