Itinerary

Day 1 Miami

Miami is the southernmost of Florida's major cities. A very Latin city with a large Spanish speaking population, the city ranges from spectacular wealth to tough neighbourhoods. The neighbourhood of South Beach is the most popular tourist destination, with its warm sandy beaches, shops and cafes. There are many large malls for shopping, great golf courses, and a selection of museums and sporting events. Nearby Everglades and Fort Lauderdale are both popular sights. The Port of Miami is also the starting point for many Caribbean cruises.

Upon confirmation of your trip, you will be sent a package with details of your trip.

You will be provided with a pre-departure package which will include all necessary information that you will need for your trip including materials such as vouchers, maps, train tickets (if relevant) etc.

Meet your professional driver for a private airport transfer.

With Miami's Neon lined Deco buildings as your backdrop, hit Ocean Drive to dine on a hip patio and watch as the vintage cars cruise the strip with their tops down.  Live it up in the heart of Miami's clubbing district along Washington Avenue or take a quick cab around Biscayne Bay to South Beach and stroll along it's bustling boulevard in the heat of the night.  People watching is prime in Miami where all walks of life flock for the energy of the ocean scene.  Lincoln Road is a haven for pedestrians with a bar will await you every couple of paces with a cool drink.

The Conrad Miami Hotel is in the heart of Miami's Financial District overlooking Biscayne Bay. The Brickell Avenue address provides quick and easy access to South Beach, Coconut Grove and Key Biscayne and is just 15 minutes from Miami International Airport. The dramatic architecture, designed by the firm Kohn, Peterson and Fox, Conrad Miami is unconventionally stylish, while the interior gives a sense of space and tranquility. The stylish rooms are finely appointed with contemporary furniture and features all the amenities you would expect of a high quality hotel. The onsite restaurant - the Atrio is an upmarket Spanish-Asian influenced restaurant poised on the 25th floor of the hotel and offers great views. Innovative cuisine and exceptional service await in an elemental ambience resplendent with vibrant hues of earth, fire and water. The "Noir" bar provides the perfect backdrop for pre or post dinner drinks.

Day 3 Miami

Explore the interesting Architectural side of Miami today on a private guided tour. You will be introduced to the Art Deco, Mediterranean Revival, and Miami Modern (MiMo) styles found within the Miami Beach Architectural Historic District. Explore hotels, restaurants, and other commercial structures with a visit to a number of interiors. Then check out Collins Avenue that epitomizes the glamour of the 1940s before sitting down to a great lunch. This afternoon you will be taken to Vizcaya Museum & Gardens. Occupying 50 acres of land overlooking Miami's Biscayne Bay is Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, a retreat from the hustle of the modern urban city to the era of the early 20th century. Built largely between 1914 and 1917 by Chicagoan James Deering as his winter residence, Vizcaya is one of the best remaining examples from the American Renaissance when the nation's wealthy industrialists built lavish estates inspired by the traditions of the European Renaissance. The estate includes a 70-room main house, filled with early 20th century furnishings and antiques alongside the latest technology of the period, and has been long celebrated for its 10 acres of lush formal gardens referred to as the finest Italianate gardens in the United States. At the end of the tour you will be transferred to the port to your awaiting cruise ship.

Pass the day at Cocowalk - Miami’s ultimate destination for shopping, dining & entertainment. Built in the 1990's the buildings were carefully designed to blend seamlessly into the surroundings of Coconut Grove, a bayside boating village known for being eclectic, sometimes eccentric and always exciting.

CocoWalks’ rows of shops and boutiques are a shoppers paradise, while its state-of-the-art premier movie theater provides entertainment for any taste. Restaurants and sidewalk cafes offer a kaleidoscope of flavor from every corner of the globe. Each night, CocoWalks’ variety of bars and live entertainment fill the center with sparkling lights, music and laughter.

Speak to your trip planner about securing a table at Barton G – a restaurant that has mastered the art of environmental transformations in the culinary world.  The restaurant has Barton G. Weiss’ signature sophisticated flare with culinary artistry as the life of every dish.  Located in a historic building on the Miami scene and in a residential area away from the bustle of Ocean Drive, Barton G’s enticing menu gives its patrons’ a reason to  return time and time again.

Day 4 Miami

Enjoy a private hour and a half walking tour in the company of a Guide. Guides are typically local historians, architects, and trained guides and can impart lots of information to you during the stroll. The Collins Park neighborhood is the newest of Miami Beach's local historic districts, and contains excellent examples of Mediterranean Revival, Art Deco, and contemporary architecture. Learn about the grand hotels of Collins Avenue that epitomize the glamour of the 1940s, and visit the new "cultural campus" surrounding the Bass Museum, the Miami City Ballet, and the Miami Beach Regional Library. If you prefer to learn about the histroy of Miami, consider the Lincoln walking tour. Alternatively, consider the Ocean Drive & Beyond walking tour covering the Art Deco, Mediterranean Revival, and Miami Modern (MiMo) styles found within the Miami Beach Architectural Historic District Please speak to your Travel Advisor if you prefer one of these latter tours.

With the Atlantic Ocean at your beackon call, take the day (or two) to sink your toes in Florida's white sand beaches along the Miami Coast.  Head to the 85th Street Beach for the best swimming location - since it's free from condos there is more room to spread out both on the beach and in the water.
Lummus Park Beach or Glitter Beach is a have for people watching.  Keep your eyes peeled for models prepping for photo shoots as it's a common occurance here at Lummus.
If you want an untouched, ungroomed, rugged beach head to Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park just at the end of Key Biscayne.  Here you will find over a mile of rustic beach, a historic lighthouse and nature trails to explore.
With its man-made lagoon, fed naturally by the tidal movement of the adjacent Biscayne Bay, the waters of Matheson Hammock Park Beach are prime for families.  Its waters are extremely calm, safe and secluded - perfect for keeing an eye on  the kids.
Last but not least, head to Haulover Beach which is close to Bal Harbour for Miami's best surfing.  This beach is known for conjuring up Miami's biggest swells. Rad.
