Day 1
Quito Quito is Ecuador’s capital and has a setting of great natural beauty, overshadowed by the volcano Pichincha with its twin peaks of Ruco and Guagua. Quito is located at 2850m (9348 ft) above sea level, so some visitors may suffer from altitude sickness during the first hours after arrival. The city has preserved much of its Spanish colonial character, the cathedral in the Plaza de la Independencia (the oldest church in South America) and the many old churches and monasteries being among the most notable instances. Also in the plaza are the Municipal Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace and the Palacio Presidencial. Many of the city’s famous churches and monasteries contain priceless examples of Spanish art and sculpture, particularly the Monasterio de San Francisco and the Jesuit church of La Compañía. Most of Quito’s colonial churches are located in the Old Town, parts of which have been listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Day 2
Quito Explore the bustling streets and squares of the largest historical centre in the Americas; visit some of its most important churches such as the majestic La Compañía and iconic San Francisco, guardians of a stunning multi-ethnic artistic and cultural heritage. Drive through the traditional neighborhood of San Juan. Finish the morning at the "Panecillo" hillside with its breathtaking views of the old and modern city. At a distance of approximately 11miles (18 km) north of Quito is the "Middle of the World City" complex. Visit the monument of the equatorial line or parallel 0, latitude 0° 0’0”. Day 3
Quito Enjoy the dramatic mountain scenery, fascinating Indian cultures and specialized artisan villages as you travel across the northern Andean highlands to the famous market town of Otavalo. Allow yourself to browse, bargain, and enjoy the visual feast of an Indian market in Otavalo. Afternoon, return to Quito. Overnight at Patio Andaluz. |

Day 4
Galapagos Baltra is a small flat island located near the center of the Galapagos. The island is very arid and vegetation consists of salt bushes, prickly pear cactus and palo santo trees. The Baltra airport was originally constructed by the U.S.military during World War II as a base to protect the Panama Canal from enemy attack. It is linked by bridge to Santa Cruz Island. It is the main airport for arrivals and departures from the Galapagos. Enjoy a private airport transfer with a professional driver. Fly from Quito to San Cristobal via Guayaquil on Tame Airlines. The flight duration is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. Upon arrival into San Cristobal, you will pass through an airport inspection point to insure that no foreign plants or animals are introduced to the islands. After this, a guide will meet you, help you collect your luggage, and escort you on a short bus ride to the harbor and then on board your cruise ship. Visit the Charles Darwin Research Station in Puerto Ayora, staffed with international scientists conducting biological research and conservation projects. Here you will see the Giant Tortoises that are part of the breeding program. Then take a stroll along the main street of Puerto Ayora and enjoy a snack or the views across the harbour. Day 5
Galapagos After a wet landing, enjoy hiking on the Santa Fe Island, to explore the giant opuntia cactus forest, admire the endemic land iguanas, and enjoy the sea lions. Excellent snorkelling opportunity. Plazas Islands are well known for their rich vegetation and animal life. You'll be welcomed by hoards of sea lions. Short walk from shore, the brilliant green-yellowy-orange land iguanas are close by. They lurk around the cacti, their main food, chewing on the tough spiny flowers. The sea lions maintain a friendly relationship with the Iguanas, so watching them playing is unforgettable experience. Further along the path, awaits a bird-watcher´s paradise. A sheer cliff is filled with nesting swallow-tailed gulls, masked boobies, blue-footed boobies, red-billed tropicbirds, frigate birds, pelicans, and Audubon's shearwaters. The island is surrounded by sandy beaches, green shrubs, and cacti with a beautiful blue ocean in the background. Snorkelling in the crystal blue waters is recommended. Day 6
Galapagos Dry landing at the dark red-colored beach of volcanic origin, frequented by sea lions. It is often considered the geographic center of Galapagos because it has the most diversified volcanic rocks in all of the Islands. There is a short trail leading to a saltwater lagoon, a feeding ground for small colonies of Flamingos. Brown pelicans nest in the mangroves on the far side of the lagoon. It is also possible to spot boobies and 9 species of Darwin’s finches. Enjoy a dinghy ride by the reefs where you will have an excellent opportunity for snorkelling. Disembark at Bachas Beach (wet landing), on the north side of Santa Cruz Island. Here you will encounter sea lions, marine iguanas, and sea turtles. Lima Limais situated halfway alongPeru’s desert coastline, literally stuck between the desert and the deep blue sea. The valley was once dominated by hundreds of pre-Inca temples and palaces. Pizarro chose the palace of local chief Taurí Chusko as the site of the city’s inauguration on January 6, 1535, and thus beganLima’s colonial history, reflected in the opulent mansions with Moorish latticed wooden balconies that graceLima’s plazas. The main square, Plaza de Armas, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, complete with paths, gardens and an elegant bronze fountain. Surrounding the main plaza are the Cathedral, Archbishop’s Palace, the Town Hall and the impressive Palacio de Gobierno (GovernmentPalace). Cultural attractions aside, areas such as Barranco, Miraflores andSan Isidrohave much to offer the visitor in the way of shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Sacred Valley The Sacred Valley of the Incas is a valley in the Andes of Peru, close to Cusco. It is fed by rivers which descend through adjoining valleys and gorges, and contains numerous archaeological remains and villages. The valley was appreciated by the Incas due to its special geographical and climatic qualities. It was one of the empire's main points for the extraction of natural wealth, and the best place for maize production in Peru. The Sacred Valley is generally understood to include everything between Písac and Ollantaytambo, parallel to the Urubamba River, or Vilcanota River or Wilcamayu, as this Sacred River is called when passing through the valley. Day 9
Sacred Valley Enjoy a full day excursion to the Pisac ruins located on the top of a hill overlooking the Vilcanota (Urubamba) river, a series of terraces, canals, houses, food storage and temples can be seen in very good shape. The most notable is the “Intihuatana” or solar calendar made out of a big piece of red stone. Continue to visit the Pisac Market where artisans from all over the area congregate to sell their crafts. Buffet lunch in a countryside restaurant and visit to Ollantaytambo, a fortress built during the Inca Empire, excellent sample of military architecture. 8 hours in duration Includes tourist ticket and entrance fees. Day 10
Aguas Calientes Aguas Calientes is the colloquial name forMachu Picchupueblo, a town on theUrubambaRiverinPeru. It is best known as the closest town to the tourist attractionMachu Picchu, which is 6 km away, about a 1.5 hour walk. It has many hotels and restaurants for tourists, as well as natural hot baths, which give the town its name ("hot waters" in Spanish). The hydro electric plant about 8 km past Aguas Calientes is the end of the train line fromCusco. A few trains leave Cusco each morning to transport tourists from Cusco to Aguas Calientes to visitMachu Picchu; they are also used by local residents. You wil be met at the hotel lobby by our local representative, and transferred by private vehicle and professional driver from your hotel in the Sacred Valley to the Ollantaytambo Train Station. Once you get to the train station together with your guide, you will board the Vistadome train for a 2 hour journey to the ancient ruins at Machu Picchu. Before reaching Machu Picchu, the train travels along the Urubamba River, with awe-inspiring views of the dramatic canyon.
*Note: When you board the train to visit Machu Picchu with overnight, bring only a small bag with you. Due to limited storage space on the train, passengers are asked to bring only one small piece of luggage. The rest of your luggage will be stored safely at your hotel and returned to you either in Cuzco or Sacred Valley. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, you will board the bus (shared service) up to Machu Picchu. The bus ride takes 30 minutes and once you get there you will enjoy a private guided tour of Machu Picchu. Day 11
Cusco Cuscowas the former capital of the Inca Empire (founded AD 1100). The city today is a fascinating mix of Inca and colonial Spanish architecture and was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1983. Almost every central street has remnants of Inca walls, arches and doorways that serve as the foundation for the colonial and modern buildings. Narrow alleys of whitewashed houses with sky-blue and bottle-green shutters open out onto elegant squares with stone-hewn fountains and elegant restaurants and posadas (inns). Colorful murals depicting historical scenes can be seen on countless walls, and indigenous women with braids and embroidered shawls set up makeshift stalls selling woven blankets and handmade crafts and jewelry. The elegant Plaza de Armas, or main square, is lined with arcades and houses with ornately carved wooden balconies and terracotta tiled roofs. For your convenience the bus ticket between Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu is provided. Buses depart about every 30 minutes, once the bus is full. Santiago has an excellently preserved city square that is very pleasant for a leisurely walk. It also boasts numerous museums, parks, churches and fine restaurants for dining. For a taste of world renown Chilean wines, visit some of the nearby vineyards for day excursions. Easter Island Easter Island is a Polynesian island in the southeastern Pacific Ocean, at the southeastern most point of the Polynesian triangle. The island is a special territory of Chile. Easter Island is famous for its monumental statues, created by the Rapanui people. It is a world heritage site with much of the island protected within the Rapa Nui National Park. Easter Island is one of the world's most isolated inhabited islands. It is 3,600 km (2,237 mi) west of continental Chile and 2,075 km (1,290 mi) east of Pitcairn. Day 15
Easter Island Drive up the extinct volcano Rano Kau, appreciating on the way a view of the whole island and the village of Hanga Roa, with its distinct geological features. Then proceed to an outlook with a breathtaking view of the crater lake.
Afterwards drive to the ceremonial village of Orongo, where the birdman competition took place and you can see the spectacular petroglyphs related to this culture, see the 3 islets Motu Nui, Motu Iti and Motu Kao Kao opposite the coast.
Drive down again to Ahu Vinapu (not restored) and for some still proof of the influence of pre-inca arquitects in Easter Island culture. Last stop is Ana Kai Tangata cave with wall paintings. Back to hotel. Drive to restored Ahu Akivi with 7 Moais, built in the middle of the island. The legend tells us that these statues are representing the 7 explorers who were sent to Rapa Nui by the king Hotu Matua. Proceed to the unrestored Ahu Hanga Poukura. Then visit the topknot-quarry Puna Pau with its red scoria stone, where all the Pukaos were made. We will also visit the ceremonial site of Tahai with 3 Ahus and restored statues, remains of boathouses, a boatramp and other features. Here we see the only statue with eyes. Back to hotel. Day 16
Easter Island Drive to the southcoast and visit representative examples of not restored platforms, Ahus Vaihu in the bay of Hanga Te’e, and Akahanga, where supposedly the famous king Hotu Matua is buried.
Proceed to Rano Raraku, one of the most important sites visited. This is the quarry of almost 900 stone statues, 397 of them still lying or standing at the slopes of the extinct volcano with crater lake.
Then visit Ahu Tongariki most recent and biggest restauration on the island, with 15 re-erected statues standing on an almost 200 m long platform.
Drive to the eastcoast and visit not restored Ahu Te Pito Kura and the “Navel of the World”.
Last but not least visit the beautiful beach of Anakena with its restored Ahus Nau Nau and Ature Huke. There you will have the opportunity to enjoy the warm Pacific Ocean. An interesting day is coming to an end and we bring you back to your hotel.

Santiago Depart from Santiago towards Pirque, about a 50 minute ride from Santiago, where Concha y Toro, the largest vineyard in the country, is located.
Walk through the gardens in the park and see the estate house from the outside, the summer residence of the Concha y Toro family towards the end of the 19th Century. Learn about where Concha y Toro wines come from in our Grape Variety Garden, a place with 26 varieties of wine grapes. Visit the Old Pirque vineyard with panoramic views of the Maipo valley from the vineyard’s terraces.
A wine tasting is part of your visit to the cellars, including the centenarian Casillero del Diablo, the wine legend.
Return to your hotel in Santiago at the end of this excursion. Enjoy time at your leisure to try some of the many optional activities available to you including half day tours such as a guided tour of the city focusing on the city's culture, architecture or a panoramic tour, a visit to a local winery, or a cooking class with a local chef in his own home. If you are feeling more active, there are horseback riding and hiking tours available. Day 19
Santiago Enjoy a private full day excursion to the UNESCO World Heritage city of Valparaiso and the pretty coastal town of Vina del Mar. Take in the great coastal views as you head along the Pacific coast and soak in the panoramic view of the port, before visiting the home of Nobel Laureate Pablo Neruda, whose house is a true hideaway located on the upper part of town overlooking the port. The house is modeled on shipbuilding (Neruda's love for all things maritime is famous) and the gardens have many exotic plants, which make for a restful spot. Also in San Telmo lies a recently unearthed treasure: the ancient subterranean tunnels. The construction of tunnels started in the colonial era, and continued well into the 19th century. From ancient times, many myths have been created around the tunnels: people said they witnessed secret encounters, disappearances, murders or even political conspiracies.
