The projects we need your help with include building new tools for our organization, our customers and agents and to connect with our business partners. You will have direct access to these various users. These enterprise level applications will have to support up to $500 million in transactions this year and will need to scale by another factor of ten in the coming years.
As a Front End Developer you will work as part of a development team on multidimensional projects and participate in the development of solutions to meet the company’s needs. The scope of this particular role will include all phases of front-end development for web projects, implementation, testing and maintenance adhering to defined coding standards and best practices. This position will include working with the marketing, sales and other stakeholders to deliver solutions in a timely manner.
Past experience will include a minimum of 3 years working with HTML/CSS and JavaScript toward the delivery of a production E-Commerce website, ideally in a Microsoft .NET Framework.
We are looking for developers with excellence in the following competencies:
Strong technical programming skills
- Delivers excellent front-end, user interface-focussed to work on web-based projects
- Capable of rapidly developing graphical mock-ups and translating them seamlessly and effectively to web content.
- Proficiency working with all browsers/compatibility; understands and adheres to code standards
- Can convert designs (PSD’s) to w3c complied hand-written html and CSS
- Can create plugins and controls using JavaScript and libraries like jQuery
- Familiarity with MVC pattern is an asset
- Ability to use a source control software especially Git revision control systems like GitHub, GitBucket etc.
- Has experience working with development, QA and analyst teams
- Can convert ideas to prototypes
- Experience working with Visual Studio is an asset
