Introducing Explorer in Residence, Simon Donato
Kensington Tours is proud to present Simon Donato, our newest Explorer in Residence. Star of TV show Boundless and current member of the Explorers Club, this adrenaline adventurer left his life as a geologist behind to take on the toughest terrains on the planet, including a 155 mile race through highlands and volcanoes in Iceland.
His TV show Boundless, documents the many grueling endurance races he and friend/co-star Paul Trebilcock take on around the world. Whether it's a five day foot race in the Sahara Desert, a paddleboard race from Molokai to Oahu, or extreme mountain biking in Utah, these journeys are an incredible display of endurance and leave viewers on the edge of their seats. Simon is also the director and star of Go Death Racer, a documentary following Simon and 3 other ultra-junkies as they take on the Canadian Death Race, one of the planet's most famous and challenging ultra-marathon.
When he isn't racing across the globe, Simon spends his time working with Adventure Science, a company he founded devoted to bringing scientists into remote locations to help solve and explore some of nature's greatest mysteries. Using non-motorized forms of travel whenever possible, Simon and his team go into the world in a low impact manner and explore everything from searching for ancient tsunami deposits in Oman's Musandam peninsula to the disappearance of adventurer Steve Fossett in Nevada.
