Dave and Deb are living the life that many of us dream of. Follow their adventures on their blog.
The two Canadian adventurers are travelling the world and there is no sign of slowing down! On the road for almost 14 years now, they have travelled all 5 continents, visiting more than 45 nations.
It all started back in college, when the two fell in love at first sight. Since then, they have been on the road. But Dave and Deb are taking it slow .. They are never rushing from one country to the next - they'd rather spend weeks in a destination to get to know its culture, history and adventures. For these two explorers, it's more about getting to know the people and place than to get yet another stamp in their passports.
Together they trekked the Mount Everest Base Camp and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, practiced Yoga in India, studied Muay Thai in Thailand, joined the Adams Peak Pilgrimage in Sri Lanka, paddled through rough waters around the world, biked through dry deserts, scuba dived in Honduras and went skiing and snowboarding in Mont Tremblant, Canada.
It seems like a never-ending list of activities and adventures. This might sound appealing to some people, others might think: “Why are they doing that? Don’t they want to settle down?” For both, Dave and Deb, travelling is something that keeps them moving, something that keeps them alive. They need change. And travelling is an excellent mean to bring change.
The Mongol Rally, described as “the greatest adventure in the world”, is next on their list. The rally leads adventurers from England through the Czech Republic, up North as far as the Arctic Circle and Russia or as far South as Iran, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan before proceeding towards Mongolia. This journey is more an adventure than a rally and Dave and Deb are all in for it.
