Kensington is dedicated to ensuring that our travelers’ tours go smoothly. Below you’ll find a collection of the secrets and shortcuts that enable us to provide unique and hassle free adventures.

EGYPT In Cairo there can be dozens of large busses and thousands of tourists crowding the pyramids and Museum. So Kensington guides go “in reverse order”, to give guests a private view of the sights before most of the big tour busses pull in, or after they have gone.
KENYA & TANZANIA In East Africa, Kensington has offices in both Nairobi and Arusha, allowing us to use a single guide on the complete Masai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro circuit. We were the first company to use the Lake Victoria border crossing. This cuts over $1,000 from the cost of a safari and saves travelers seven hours in small planes and airports!
INDIA Anyone interested in ancient ruins, art and architecture should definitely visit the Khajuraho Temples in Madhya Pradesh, which are often missed by travelers. Twenty two temples carved with erotic scenes in the 10th and 11th centuries remain of the eighty five that once existed.
PERU When Kensington travelers visit Machu Picchu early in the morning they DON’T join the hordes of people rushing up to Intipunku (Gateway of the Sun, the Inca Trail). Instead, they tackle Huayna Picchu, a steep peak overlooking the city on the opposite side. Between trail hikers, day hikers, and bus tours, there will be dozens or even hundreds of people jostling each other at the Sun Gate – but Kensington adventurers have Huayna Picchu and the spectacular view almost all to themselves!
CHINA Kensington’s China portfolio is a combination of luxury and action –We offer the finest 5* properties and the most exciting adventures for our travelers! There are some awe inspiring sights for those who venture off the beaten track, inclusing the gigantic carved Buddhas hidden in cliff side caves in Datong, the karst mountains and terraced rice fields of Yangshuo.
