1/2 d Mombasa City Tour (4 hrs)

Today you will explore the fascinating city of Mombasa with a private driver and guide, departing from the port. The tour includes a visit to the historic old town which is dominated by Fort Jesus, bult by the Portuguese in the 16th century, the scene of a seige which lasted more than 2 years. A small museum is within the fort, and you will have a chance to see displayed items which were collected in and around Mombasa. The tour gives you a chance to explore the ancient residential houses along the narrow streets of the old town, before visiting the busy Mackinon market. You will stop at the Akamba wood carvers to see how they perform their craft, as well as to visit the showroom. Afterward, you be returned to port.
