You will be met by at the port by your expert guide and escorted in air conditioned transport around the city. A suggestion is a brief stop along the Corniche for a glass of freshly-squeezed orange juice overlooking the Atlantic Ocean before setting off to see the sights. Casablanca, located on the Atlantic Ocean is the business centre of Morocco. Casablanca was established as a commercial centre by the French. The architecture is a mix of modern, art deco and the traditional. Your morning tour of Casablanca includes the remarkable Mosque Hassan II, one of only two mosques in Morocco open to non Islamic believers. Built by the late King Hassan II at the end of his 40-year reign, this astounding edifice is larger than Saint Peter’s in Rome and capable of holding 80,000 worshippers. Continue to Rabat, the diplomatic and administrative capital of Morocco which is located north-east of Casablanca on the Atlantic Coast at the mouth of the river Bou Regreg. The transfer to Rabat will take approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. You will visit the Mausoleum of Mohammed V which commemorates the Sultan who enabled Morocco to achieve independence, the incomplete Hassan Tower which is modeled on the famous Koutoubia minaret of Marrakech, and finally the Kasbah Oudaya and its gardens. Later in the afternoon you will be transferred back to the Port where you will continue your onward journey.
