The Oceanic Discoverer is a newly built multi-million dollar ship, accommodating up to 72 guests in 36 cabins, and features a cruising speed of 14 knots. The shallow draft of the 63m ship allows it to access the isolated places that make your cruise a lasting memory. A crew of 20 will attend to your needs, creating an intimate environment on the sea. Oceanic Discoverer is equipped with the latest technology active stabilizers and is fitted with state-of-the-art safety and navigational equipment and is the only Australian passenger ship registered with full SOLAS compliance allowing opportunities to explore a multitude of international voyages.
Five total Bridge Deck Cabins, adjacent to the lounge, are 180-195 sqft, and feature a junior king or twin bedding configuration.
Twenty total Promenade Deck Category A Cabins, are 172-190 sqft, and feature a junior king or twin bedding configuration. The Promenade Deck is exclusively living quarters.
Two total Promenade Deck Category B Cabins, located at the front of the ship, are 151-172 sqft, and feature a junior king bedding configuration. The Promenade Deck is exclusively living quarters.
Six total Main Deck Category A cabins, located adjacent the dining room, are 195 sqft, and feature a junior king or twin bedding configuration.
Three total Main Deck Category B cabins, located at the front of the Main Deck, are 190-200 sqft, and feature a junior king or twin bedding configuration.
All meals during the cruise are included. Breakfast and lunch are served in the Dining Room located on the Main Deck and are buffet-style while dinner is table d’hote. Coffee and tea is available 24 hours. Standard hours are breakfast from 7:00-8:30am, lunch at 12:30pm and dinner at 7:30pm however meal times may vary according to the day's activities. Meal times will be advised in the onboard daily bulletins.
Onboard facilities include much of what you would expect in a larger cruise ship: air conditioning, large sundeck, spa pool, wireless internet access, library, lecture lounge, and two cocktail bars.
For excursions, a specially-designed aluminum excursion vessel is used, with high horsepower engines accommodating all passengers at once. Two inflatable Zodiacs are also carried on board for certain landings and excursions.
