Pick up from San José International Airport and drop off at your hotel in Arenal (3 hrs, private car and driver).
Enjoy a full day private tour including the Irazu Volcano, Lankaster Gardens and Orozi Valley. Take the Panamerican Highway South, to start ascending the large “Iztaru”. The winding road travels through fertile lands cultivated with all kinds of vegetables as you observe a lovely panoramic view. At the top of the volcano you can observe the main craters and on a clear day both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans can be seen. Descending to the city of Cartago, make a stop at the Virgin of the Angels Basilica that according to religious custom is a peregrination site for many believers. After visiting the Basilica, make a stop at Lankester Gardens, a University of Costa Rica Center for investigation that protects more than 800 species of orchids, bromeliads and countless species of other plants. Continue to the Valley of Orosi where creation overflows in unparallel beauty where you will be able to visit one of the few remaining colonial churches. A stop for lunch will be made in one of the local restaurants. (Includes lunch and English speaking guide).

This morning you’ll reach Curu Nature Reserve for an optional walking excursion in the reserve with the local Rangers and the onboard naturalist. Later in the morning, rejoin the Voyager for a short sailing to Tortuga Island. Arrive in Tortuga Island at noon for swimming and snorkeling in the crystal clear waters of this paradise island before joining in for a beach BBQ. Later on, you’ll have more time for enjoying this amazing island. Overnight at anchor.
In the early morning, sail to Quepos. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to the Manuel Antonio Reserve, one of the highlights of the cruise. The optional excursion takes to the Manuel Antonio Park which consists of three magnificent white-sand beaches that are backed by a jungle sheltering hundreds of fascinating plant species. Naturalists lead walks to outstanding wildlife viewing. Manuel Antonio offers well-maintained trails where you can explore the jungle on your own or join a walk with one of the naturalists. You may wish to see the small shopping area, relax on the white-sand beach or take a swim. Optional afternoon excursions are the Savegre River or Forest Canopy. Late evening sailing to Puerto Jimenez- Golfo Dulce. Overnight at sea.
In the early morning, you’ll reach Puerto Jimenez. There will be an optional excursion to the Osa Conservation by 4x4. Return to the ship for a late lunch while you cross Golfo Dulce towards Casa Orquideas. Casa Orquideas has a beautiful flower sanctuary. There will be an optional walking excursion to this private nature sanctuary. Visit of the extensive and very well preserved grounds. Towards the end of the day, you’ll have time to swim. Set sail into Golfito Bay in Golfo Dulce where you’ll arrive at midnight for immigration procedures and then sail overnight to Coiba Island, Panama. Overnight at sea.
Morning arrival in Coiba Island a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest island in Central America. Optional morning walking excursion. The Ship Naturalist will take you for a short walk up hill to discover the local forest and animal life. After a beach BBQ on Coiba, you’ll sail to nearby Granito de Oro Island for swimming and snorkeling in a pristine environment. The waters are teeming with marine life. It’s surrounded by one of the largest coral reefs in the pacific coasts of the Americas and marks the beginning of the underwater Cordilera mountain chain that also includes Coco's and the Galapagos. In the afternoon, leave Granito de Oro and sail to Panama City. Overnight at sea.
In the morning, you’ll arrive in Flamenco Marina/Amador, Panama City. Morning optional excursion in the Panama City Old Town quarter and Canal site (Miraflores Locks and Museum). Lunch on board. After lunch, you’ll start preparing for the Panama Canal crossing. The Panama Canal is an engineering marvel that connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. With priority given to commercial vessels, 14,000 cross the Canal each year, crossing times are not guaranteed. You’ll cross the Miraflores and the San Pedro Locks before reaching the Gatun locks on the Atlantic side. You’ll cross the Gatun Locks in the early hours and after clearance, you’ll continue on to San Blas Islands. Overnight at sea.
In the early morning, you’ll arrive in San Blas Archipelago, a chain of over 365 tropical islands of which 50 only are inhabited by the Kuna Indians, who live in communities of bamboo-sided, thatched-roofed houses. You’ll anchor at Carti Island for an optional excursion and visit the largest Kuna Indians settlement. Children will dance for passengers and you’ll visit a local home. Later, sail to nearby Gran Perro Island (Big Dog Island) where you will have a BBQ lunch. There will be plenty of time for swimming and snorkeling on the island or at nearby Perro island with its famous wreck. Depart later in the evening for Colon Shelter Marina.
With a morning arrival to Colon, you'll disembark from your ship and bid farewell to your fellow cruisemates.

You will be met at your hotel by your bilingual guide to commence your private guided 4hr walking tour through the streets of Cartagena. Your tour will take through the old town under the Puerta Del Reloj (Clock tower entrance), a symbol of Cartagena, into the Plaza de los Coches. Your guide will divulge the myths and legends, histories and stories of Cartagena from ancient times right up to the present. No visit to Bogota is complete without a visit to the amazing Gold Museum to the Plaza San Pedro Claver with its stunning Church, on through to the Plaza Bolivar; with its shady areas, where a fresh Lemon juice can be enjoyed whilst watching the world go by. Cartagena is steeped in history and a delight to stroll the streets with your own personal encyclopaedia of knowledge guiding you from one interest to the other.
