Enjoy a trip on MS Polarlys from the comfort of your own home. Built in 1996 the ship combine small ship atmosphere with space, style and comfort. Choose from their wide range of comfortable cabins. They vary in size and location, sometimes within the same grade. As a general rule, outside accommodation on the higher decks has a picture window while lower decks have portholes. Meals are served at set times in the dining room. Open seating, buffet-style for breakfast and lunch. Early or late seating for dinner – three course sit-down menu. The ship has a centrally placed bar on the top deck. Large windows ensure best possible view.
Polished brass and wood, sculptures, carvings and a fine selection of Norwegian contemporary art are found alongside the comfort of the bars, café and restaurant. The ship has a panorama lounge on the top deck with comfortable chairs and panoramic view. You will find a casual atmosphere on board and there is no dressing up for dinner – their aim is to sail calmly through the crisp clean air, close to the ever-changing environment. Open seating for the buffets at breakfast and lunchtime creates a relaxed setting in which to contemplate the sights you have already seen and anticipate those still to come.

The restaurant is located astern on deck 4. Large windows enable you to enjoy both your meal and the view at the same time. The bar ahead is the place where passengers often meet after dinner for a coffee or a drink.
The emphasis on board is on relaxation and getting away from the commercial entertainment which is so often a part of conventional cruises. Their aim is to get closer to the unique environments and share the experience with fellow travelers. Films and presentations may be shown to illustrate the history and culture of Norwegian coastal life.
