Your private guide and driver will meet you at the Marmaris port, and bring you on a 75-minute drive to the town of Dalyan, on the Dalyan River, which flows out to the Aegean Sea. Here, a hired boat will take you on a leisurely cruise of the river. You'll stop along the way for photographs as you pass the well known rock tombs. Continue along down the river to the western bank where you will disembark the boat for a visit of the ancient Carian city of Caunos. Explore the city's Hellenistic remains, including the Acropolis Hill's tower and gateway, Lycan rock tombs, fountain house, theatre, terrace temple and Byzantine church. Rejoin your boat and proceed back to a local restaurant for lunch (included), while passing the protected loggerhead turtle breeding ground at Iztuzu Beach on the way. After lunch, rejoin your driver for a return to port.
