The planning went pretty smoothly, and so did the trip. The local guides were all top-notch!

The Port of Istanbul is the most important one in the country. The old port on the Golden Horn serves primarily for personal navigation, while Karaköy port in Galata is used by the large cruise liners. Istanbul is a major highlight for any cruise in the Mediterranean and Aegean Sea, with ships arriving in from the Marmara Sea, past the Princes' Islands and Golden Horn to dock at the start of the Bosphorus strait, between Asia and Europe. The main cruise ship ports used in Istanbul are usually on the European side of the city, about 30 mins from the Old City.
Cruise in European style aboard an Italian cruiseliner, sailing the seas of the Mediterranean, visiting historic ports in Italy, Greece, Turkey and Croatia.
