With your private driver and guide, start exploring ancient Constantinople with the great church of Holy Wisdom and the impressive masterpiece of Byzantine architecture – the Hagia Sophia. Then admire the 6th century Basilica Cistern- The largest water supply of the Roman Empire – which is reminiscent of a sunken palace with its inspiring mystical atmosphere. Next, visit the Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum, the most prominent cultural and ethnographical museum in Istanbul, with its unique antique collection of Turkish traditional crafts and fine arts, such as carpets, tiles glassware and woodworks. Afterwards, proceed to the Rustempasa Mosque, famous for its exquisite tiles and woodwork. Continue to Spice Bazaar for a short visit and Turkish Delight Tasting at the famous Haci Bekir. It was in 1777 that confectioner Bekir Effendi (later Haci Bekir) opened his small shop, using a stove in the room at the rear section for production. The premises was 33 m² and became the size it is today (88 m²) when, at a later date, the spice shop next door was added. The premises still operates today as a confectionery shop, managed by the fifth generation of the Haci Bekir family. No vacation in Turkey is complete without a visit to a Turkish Bath.
