Depart the port accompanied by an English speaking guide and start with a panoramic drive through the Three Cities: Senglea, Cospicua and Vittoriosa. The Three Cities offer an intriguing insight into Malta and its history. Left largely unvisited, the Three Cities are a slice of authentic life and a glimpse into Malta’s maritime fortunes. They can rightly claim to be the cradle of Maltese history. Enjoy a short stop in Vittoriosa, then drive to Mdina, the “Silent City”. Walk through the narrow streets of the town visiting St. Paul’s Cathedral and the bastions for a panoramic view of the Island. Enjoy some free time for a coffee / refreshment stop. Next, drive to Valletta, the “Capital City” and visit the Upper Barracca Gardens for a panoramic view of the Grand Harbour and the Three Cities. Visit St. John’s Co-Cathedral, Malta’s greatest treasure where guests will have the opportunity to see the famous painting by Caravaggio – the Beheading of St. John. Return to ship.
