The transfers went flawlessly; the guides were all superb (knowledgable; thoughtful; sensitive; responsive to our needs).

Trapani is a city and port located on ther west coast of Sicily. Carthage seized control of the city in 260 BC, subsequently making it an important naval base, but ceded it to Rome in 241 BC following the Battle of the Aegates in the First Punic War. Much of the old city of Trapani dates from the later medieval or early modern periods; there are no existing remains of the ancient city. Trapani has a long history of cultural events including the longest running Easter festival in the world which has run continuously since Good Friday of 1612.
