It is the most visited cruise ship port of call in France, allowing visitors easy access to adjoining city, Nice. Main sightseeings: Saint Michael's Church, in the heart of old town, the Chapelle Saint-Pierre dates from the sixteenth century, the old harbour of la Darse which dates back to the 17th century. It is also the site of the Observatoire Oceanologique de Villefranche.
