Punta del Este is a port city and resort on the Atlantic Coast in the Maldonado Department of southeastern Uruguay. The city has much colonial architecture contrasting with more modern buildings. Nowadays it has a scenic shore, typical resort houses, modern buildings, a port with mooring capacity, and a popular handicraft market at Artigas Square. Summer tourism often boosts the population of Punta del Este fifteen times that of the off-season population.

The Port of Buenos Aires is the principal maritime port in Argentina. With a taxi or shuttle bus, cruise visitors can be transported into the heart of Buenos Aires, voted the second most desirable city to visit in the world, by Travel + Leisure Magazine in 2008. This southern metropolis is known for its European style architecture and rich cultural life.

You have another day in Buenos Aires today to explore beyond what you were able to take in yesterday. Your ship departs at 5:00PM, but there is plenty of time beforehand to see the city.

Montevideo is the largest city, the capital and chief port of Uruguay. It is the primate city in Uruguay, the only city in the country with a population over 1,000,000. It has a fine harbour, one of the most important in the Americas. Also, it has beautiful beaches, such as Pocitos, Buceo, Malvín, Playa de los Ingleses, Playa Verde, Punta Gorda and Carrasco. Many monuments and museums are found in the city, as well as historic buildings and squares.

Another day spent relaxingly at sea as you cruise back to your starting point, Santos. If you're so inclined, the onboard spa has several relaxing services on offer.
