Livingstone
This is the perfect extension to any of our Victoria Falls trips. The Chobe region is a must see and home to the largest population of wild elephant in the world. The numbers are estimated at approximately 120,000 individuals. Their natural passage takes them from Zimbabwe through the Chobe and on into Namibia before returning. Enjoy daily activities at your lodge as you explore this area by boat on the Chobe River and also open Land Rover safaris.
Due to capacity constraints in Botswana, there is a 20% non-refundable booking fee. This booking fee is paid to the lodges directly to secure reservations. This will be paid upon confirmation of your booking.

Chobe is famous for its large herds of elephant and buffalo, along with numerous predators - including lions, leopards and wild dogs. There is a great diversity of plains game and an astonishing array of bird species.
Activities on offer at Muchenje Safari Lodge are:
- Game drives in our open and truly comfortable 4x4 safari vehicles. Enjoy game drives with our knowledgeable and friendly professionally qualified guides – either early morning, afternoon or even the full day
- Game viewing by boat on the Chobe River – a wonderful chance to see huge herds of elephants, as well as many other mammals and birds attracted to the water’s edge, not to mention those animals which also live in the River!
- Bush walking-safaris which allow you to learn about the intricacies of the bush where your guide teaches you about the spoor, trees, plants and insects that make for such exciting and interesting additions to the wildlife experience
- ‘Night eyes’ – night game drives in the lodge’s own concession. The guide uses a spotlight to show the local ‘night life’, which can range from the small mammals, to buffalo and elephant.
