Chobe Safari Lodge

Chobe Safari Lodge is situated in Kasane on the banks of the Chobe River and shares a border with Chobe National Park. Right on Chobe Safari Lodge’s doorstep is the meeting of four African countries: Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Chobe Safari Lodge therefore offers an excellent getaway location to Chobe, Victoria Falls or Caprivi. The Chobe Safari Lodge has recently been renovated. Accommodation at Chobe Lodge takes the form of luxury River Rooms, the new Safari Rooms, the traditional thatched rondavels, as well as the established Chobe Safari Lodge campsite. Along with many species of big game, Chobe National Park boasts the largest concentration of elephant in Africa.

The newest additions to Chobe are the 46 safari rooms. Individually decorated, they offer every comfort. Each safari room affords guests the luxury of air-conditioning, luxurious en-suite bath and shower facilities, as well as satellite TV, and telephone. The Safari rooms feature expansive lawns which form the banks of the Chobe River. Each unit has its own patio that gives one the privacy of enjoying views of the river from the comfort of your own room. The rooms are also in close proximity to the main complex.

The north east facing luxurious twin-bed river rooms are air-conditioned and offer the convenience of phone, TV and large en-suite bathrooms. Family rooms include two twin bedrooms. The wing of river rooms are attached to the main complex via down stairs corridor or upstairs viewing deck. The river room complex also has its own riverside garden where guests often take time to photograph the resident monkeys and mongoose. Both the upstairs and downstairs units also enjoy their own private patios.

Chobe Safari Lodge Activities

Game drives within the Chobe National Park offer the opportunity to view the abundant elephant and other big game species up close, and also the possibility of an encounter with one of the large predators. Chobe River cruises have to be one of the finest game viewing experiences in Africa. With over 80 000 elephants in the park there are a very frequent sightings. Hippos, water birds, buffalo, crocodile and puku are also viewed from the river.
