    Camp Savuti is located beside the Savute Channel in northern Botswana. In 1982 the water in the channel abruptly stopped flowing. This very unusual event attracted the attention of many wildlife experts. In 2008 water came back, transforming its environment from a grass plain to a deep waterway. This change lured aquatic wildlife, such as hippos and different bird spe ...cies to the channel. Located directly on the waterway, the property has seven safari tents, elevated on wooden platform providing spectacular views of the Savute Channel and its wildlife.
