Camp Savuti is located beside the Savute Channel in northern Botswana. In 1982 the water in the channel abruptly stopped flowing. This very unusual event attracted the attention of many wildlife experts. In 2008 water came back, transforming its environment from a grass plain to a deep waterway. This change lured aquatic wildlife, such as hippos and different bird species to the channel. Located directly on the waterway, the property has seven safari tents, elevated on wooden platform providing spectacular views of the Savute Channel and its wildlife. The camp is situated on a grass plain located directly on the Savute Channel. The property features two cozy lounges and a plunge pool with an additional sitting area. Order your favorite drink in the comfortable bar overlooking the channel and enjoy the evening hours at the fire pit located beside the bar.
Raised off the ground on wooden decks the five Meru-style tents accommodate a maximum of 10 guests. Tents have been positioned to ensure privacy and each tent opens out to an excellent view over the Savute Channel. The tents include en-suite facilities of a WC and safari “outdoor” shower and air-conditioning
The camps communal areas are also raised on decks to enhance the views and consist of a comfortable lounge, bar and dining area.
Camp Savuti offers great game viewing opportunities on morning and afternoon game drives and excellent birding.
