Aberdare national park is located two hours north of Nairobi on the cool slopes of the Mt. Kenya highlands. It is home to a number of wild animals like the rhinoceros, antelopes, giraffe, zebra, leopards, and monkeys. The thick forest makes game drives a challenge, and most game viewing is done from "treetop" style hotels with water holes.
