Kisumu is an important port on busy Lake Victoria, the world’s 2nd largest fresh water body. It is Kenya’s third largest city, capital of Nyanza Province, and focused prmarily on commercial fishing and agricultural. Set 15 miles south of the Equator, Kisumu has moderate temperatures because of it’s elevation 5000+ ft. above sea level. Just four hours away by car is the massive Kenya National Game Preserve, the Masai Mara, a world renowned safari attraction.
