Lemarti’s Camp is in an oasis surrounded by palm groves and fig trees, and run by Samburu and Maasai tribesmen. The five large and luxurious tents are located on platforms overlooking a river bend and were designed and furnished by interior designer Anna Trzebinski. The tents have huge en suite bathrooms with bucket showers and old colonial-style bathtubs.
Lemarti's Camp is a truly magical place, where you can feel like a true guest of Africa and her people. The camp is very representative of the union between Anna and Lemarti; combining Anna's style, and Lemarti's authentic connection to the region. Luxury by this camp's definition, lies in offering an authentic experience, superbly talented guides specialized in local knowledge, delicious food, and the simple elegance of the camp's aesthetics. This beautiful camp which offers a truly unique insider view of authentic traditional nomadic life, is a must for any discerning traveller. The camp encourages all ages; with visitors from age 2 to 86.
The camp has 5 large tents built on platforms with en-platform outside bathrooms. Each tent can work as a family unit for up to 5 or 6 family members or friends who are prepared to share relaxation areas and the bathroom.
There is one huge mess tent, which is the big communal living area of the camp.
Activities include traditional game drives and wilderness walks with Maasai and Samburu warriors. It all feels extremely authentic as the guides explain in detail about local customs while on walking safaris around camp.
Please note there is no electricity on the camp. However, there is a satellite phone on the camp in case of emergencies. We do have the facilities to charge camera batteries and cellular phones, but it is limited.
