The Craig family home is seated on the eastern side of the active Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Northern Kenya. Guests have been visiting the family’s 8 cottages here for decades, enamoured by the charming décor and character exuded by the private space. Each cottage features fireplaces and verandas. Meals are shared in the sitting room in an interactive atmosphere, or one may cozy up on their own near the fire. Relish the home-cooked cuisine and discuss the upcoming activities, which include trips to the salt water pool or riding with the horses at the stable. If you need a bit of a challenge, try the clay tennis courts. Also take in all the knowledge and understanding that comes with being surrounded by nature’s best friends.
This corner of the conservancy hosts nine comfortable thatched cottages with en suite bathrooms. Electric lighting is provided by a 240V generator that runs from 0630-1030 & 1800-2230. Each cottage allows the use of travel size hair dryers in cottages and guests are recommended to bring there own and management needs to be informed. All the furniture and the carpets are made on the property by local tradesmen and women. Batteries for video, phone and cameras can be charged in rooms – guests are recommended to bring their own adaptors. There is a mini-bar in each room.
The food is wholesome, ranch style and organically grown - full board, including soft drinks, beer, house wines and bottled water with meals.
