The exclusive Mahali Mzuri camp is located within the Motorogi Conservancy in the northern region of Kenya's famous Maasai Mara eco-system, at a picturesque elevation of 1700m above sea level. Perched on the side of a lush valley, the camp provides guests with expansive views over the wildlife saturated, rolling Mara plains. The camp is strategically placed as so guests can observe the abundant game in the area, ideal for those looking to take advantage of the annual 'Great Migration', which sees up to one million wildebeest undertake a journey of roughly 1,600km through this conservation area. The camp features 12 luxury tented suites which are very spacious and are equipped with en-suite bathing facilities and quality amenities.
Mahali Mzuri is roughly 240km almost due west of Nairobi and the best way to arrive is by plane from the city's Wilson Airport which serves most domestic destinations within Kenya. Special charter flights can be arranged on request if the scheduled airport arrival times don't suit you and these flights can land at the private airstrip in the conservancy, roughly 20 minutes' drive from camp. For the more adventurous we can arrange a private helicopter transfer which can land right at our front door.
At Mahali Mzuri guests are so close to the action that they could join in and play with the baby wildebeests, although this is totally noy recommended! There are 12 luxury tented suites catering for a maximum of 24 guests at any one time. Ten of the suites can be configured as doubles or with twin beds and two of the suites are designed to accommodate up to two additional guests on fold out sofa beds. Each tented suite will sit on a raised platform and include a spacious bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, sitting area and a terrace with views over the landscape - perfect for spotting the game that will almost certainly wander into view!
From bush BBQs to champagne picnics and sundowners, the culinary team will treat each guest to a wide selection of African and international menu options. All of the breads and pastries are baked daily to ensure freshness. Locally-sourced produce, flavours and spices are always used to deliver something truly memorable during your stay. In the evenings dinner might be served in the main dining tent, out in the bush or even somewhere private just for two. All meals and drinks including alcohol are included during your stay and guests are welcome to help themselves to whatever they want at any time. If you have any special dietary requirements just let us know before you arrive.
At Mahali Mzuri there are lots of activities to keep you busy or to help you relax. Unwind in the infinity pool or pamper yourself with a relaxing spa treatment. Head out on one of the twice daily game drives or guided walks through the beautiful games ranges of the Motorogi and Olare Orok Conservancies.
