Giraffe Manor
Set in 140 acres of grounds and a half hour from the centre of Nairobi, Kenya, the charming Giraffe Manor is home to a number of animals, including its namesake, and numerous warthogs, Bush Bucks, and birds. The 6 rooms with bathroom are comfortably furnished, carrying an air of old world chic. One of the rooms is furnished in the style favored by famous author Karen Blixen, who wrote about Africa. Dining is taken with the rest of the boarders, but in a very intimate fashion where the hosts join guests and all are seated around the table by candlelight and wine. Some meals, the giraffes are invited to join. They’re known to poke their heads in for a bite. The Manor offers transportation to all sorts of tourist spots. Nearby, there is also an elephant sanctuary to visit.
