Ashnil Samburu Camp sits in Buffalo Springs Game Reserve which takes its name from an oasis of crystal clear water at the western end of the reserve. Featuring 24 deluxe en-suite tents, guests have a perfect view of the Ewaso Nyiro River from every tent at the camp. Start the day with an early morning game drive in the serene wilderness, and in the evenings enjoy the breathtaking sunset.

Set south of Ewaso Nyiro River, in Buffalo Springs Game Reserve, Samburu, a stay here gives you unrivalled access to game viewing. The waters of the great Ewaso Nyiro River draw wildlife in great numbers to its banks, creating an oasis of green. This is spectacular country, set against a backdrop of the mighty Mount Ol Olokwe. It is separated from Samburu National Reserve by Ewaso Nyiro River and is less hilly and dense yet equally very attractive.
There are a total of 24 deluxe en-suite tents, 12 with king or queen sized beds, 9 with twin beds, and 3 with triple beds. Each of the comfortable tents offers a perfect view of the Ewaso Nyiro River, surrounding beautiful landscape, as well as the life that it supports. Every spacious tent consists of a dressing area, sitting area, luggage rack and en-suite facilities, making your close-to-nature stay pleasurable and memorable.
Try the surprising international, oriental and African traditional cuisines, in a buffet setting. The open sitting restaurant located in the main building overlooks the Ewaso Nyiro River. A lounge bar with African decor serves a variety of drinks including liquor, soft drinks, cocktails, wines, spirits and local and imported beers.
Relax and laze around the swimming pool in the calm afternoon hours. With the camp situated within the Reserve, this is a prime location for guided nature walks or game drives in 4x4 vehicles (fees may apply). Special bush dinners can also be arranged.
