Samburu Intrepids
The Samburu Intrepids is a picture of comfort and richness. Located in middle of the Samburu National Reserve, on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River, the camp’s tents surpass the standards of one’s own abode, with highly capable private hot showers and water facilities. Cuisine is delicious, with buffets for breakfast and lunch, and a la carte dinners. The staff’s sincere hospitality and constant awareness of needs is unmatched, with copius interesting activities for guests to take part in. This is an excellent venue for kids, who will squeal at all the arts and crafts and adventurous treks around the camp. Expect close encounters with Samburu’s shier species, including elephant, leopard and Samburu’s famous ‘special five’ – the rare reticulated giraffe, long-necked gerenuk antelope, Somali ostrich, Grevy’s zebra, and majestic Beisa oryx.
